We had a great experience at the TikTok Entertainment Centre. The seating was comfortable, easy to find our seats, great customer service, great sound and perfect atmosphere! What's not to like when you are taking a trip down memory lane enjoying some pure 90s pop vibe!
Visited this newly renamed entertainment theatre for a comedy event we’d booked many months prior. The new name I’m sure confused a few people on the night, however everyone figured it out in the end.nnGiant venue however overall easy to navigate and staff were efficient on the night.
There for Jimmy Carr & seats were a fair way back on Lvl 4 others further back & further up & wished I had taken binoculars luckily 2 big screens to watch.nnEntry to building pretty simple going through bag check & ticket screening at front doors before entering building. Escalators quickly got you to the right level - good signage identifying door location.nnBars available each level & can take drinks inside. Finding seats seemed very simple but many people struggled - maybe too long at bar.nnAcoustics pretty good, screens large & lighting ok. On exit, doors to stairs opened to walk 4 flights down to ground level speeding up exit.nnWell located at end of Darling Harbour with lots of food & drink options around.
The Good: I’ve seen a few concerts at ICC Sydney — most recently James Blunt and Train — and while the venue is modern and spacious, it’s not without its drawbacks. The staff inside are generally pleasant, and the venue is centrally located in Darling Harbour, making it easy to get to and from.nnRoom for Improvement: Unfortunately, it’s not the ideal venue for music concerts. While it’s certainly big enough, the layout feels a little too expansive, with a lot of wasted space that lacks atmosphere. The seating aisles are extremely narrow, which makes it awkward and discouraging to stand up and dance — a big letdown for a live music experience. Coming from someone who grew up attending shows at the old Entertainment Centre, it’s hard to understand why it was ever replaced.nDrinks are also highly overpriced for a limited selection, so you're better off eating and drinking elsewhere beforehand. Entry staff can come off a little overly security-focused, which can dampen the excitement as you walk in.nnWould I Return? Only if a must-see act is playing. It’s not my first choice for a concert venue.nnThe Verdict: A functional but lacklustre space for live music. Great location, but lacking the soul and comfort of venues past. Come prepared — and manage your expectations.
We attended David Byrne's concert. The performance was incredible but we were very disappointed with our supposed A Reserve seats [section 5 row U] in which half of the stage was obscured and blocked. For an artist like David Byrne in which the visual and lighting element is so central we really missed out on a significant and essential part of the show. It was only when looking at friends photos seated further back but central to the stage the following day that we realised just how much we had missed. I believe the limited viewing from these seats should have been advertised up front and do not believe they were commensurate with the significant cost involved of the tickets. We would not return to the venue.
