It was a short but pleasant stay. No milk in the fridge and the bathroom needs updating, but otherwise clean tidy room. Breakfast area is lovely and breakfast was pleasant. Great to be close to everything and parking is reasonable.
My mum and I travelled to Rotorua for 3 nights and had separate King rooms. Both rooms were a good size hotel room, we had all the amenities we needed, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Parking was busy, but there was always a park available. Excellent location. The staff on reception were knowledgable and friendly, and the cleaning staff were really friendly and did a great job. I was worried after reading some of the reviews on the Ibis website but our stay was great. Whilst there were minor stains on the carpet from where previous guests had dripped drinks, the carpet was clean and I had no issues at all with the cleanliness.
The Ibis is a pretty tired hotel. The great things about it are a comfy bed, great customer service, free parking and location close to the town centre. The view from my room was also wonderful.
We stayed for two nights in April. The property is well kept, clean and well appointed for the price. Comfortable beds and very quiet. The location is fantastic with easy access to the lakefront and restaurants etc.
We had a great stay. The room was clean and tidy and we have a beautiful view over the lake. Its location meant that we were able to leave the car parked and walk easily into town or along the lakefront for much of the time we were there. Being able to have a buffet breakfast onsite was useful when we had early starts. The only minor inconvenience was that our key cards stopped working the day before we were due to checkout, but a stop at the front desk sorted that out quickly with an apology and a smile. Really happy with the service.
