Large restaurant in Flemington high Street. Called in here early on a Sunday evening. Only a couple of tables taken at that time but seemed quite popular as more people came in after and seemed to do a good trade in takeaway. Dumplings were delicious, so delicious we ordered a second helping, and very reasonably priced.
This Vietnamese place took me by surprise, as its sumptuous laksa 4 dumplings alongside this order and veg dumplings are to die for! Do try their stir fried glass noodles, its light and yum. The prawn crackers are a perfect snack with the chilli oil on the side or to dunk in your laksa! Vegetarian options: Laksa and veg dumplings are your go too! Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to kids, no play areas though, they seem to love prawn crackers.
I don't know whether the one who voted 5 stars for this place have ever tasted real dumplings. The dumpling wraps are too thick and tasteless. The fillings are okay though.
Extremely poor. We made a phone order today and was told it would be 20-25min which was fine, I arrived on time and was told the order was not ready yet. I waited in store for a further 15min for the food. The food took a total of 40min to cook. The dumplings were burnt and cooked poorly. The wontons in Sichuan chilli was not spicy at all from someone that doesn't usually eat spice and it was very heavy in vinegar. The shredded pork fried noodles were average at best. AVOID THIS PLACE. Take your money elsewhere for better service and tasting food.
Good food, especially the dumplings in Sichuan chili sauce. Amazing service and wonderful staff. Looking forward to coming back again.
After having been here a few years ago pre covid and having been impressed by the care that had been taken with the dumplings... today I came out with a belly full of disappointment! The food was not fresh, the dumplings did not taste fresh... it was as if they had been store bought. The Peking duck pancakes had been microwaved and the fried icream had a weird texture on the outer layer crumbly and a funny taste. Needless to say that I was bitterly disappointed with the huge drop in quality.
Food was fine- spring onion pancake and pan fried pork dumplings in chilli were the standout. My partner went to pick up the order and unfortunately he was made to jump through hoops to prove my identity, as I’d made the order?! He offered to get myself on the phone and showed our extensive message history however still was asked to provide a photo of my license, my passport, last digits of card used to purchase we have a shared bank account and a screen shot of the actual card….c’mon you guys, it was an order for dumplings! Too difficult, not sure we’ll order again.
Love going here for dumplings. Such great value for money. Love the beef and lamb dumplings with their chilli sauce. Easily my favourites. Didn't think much of their duck wraps. Not too much flavour to be honest. Might try some other items next time, but dumplings are always a safe bet.
Tasty food, good deals like buy 1, get 1 on all alcoholic beverages. The food has reasonable prices. We ordered a dumpling dish, this Szechuan boneless chicken dish delicious!, 2 glasses of wine and steamed rice shared between two. Our bill was $40. Great deal imo for a Friday night out.
If you must ask, just go for the dumplings! The dumplings are juicy, flavourful and made fresh. I was pretty sad that they removed the 8 dumplings option and only have the 15 ones. So now I can't have 2 types of dumplings but only 1 to share. Other menu items tasted average and portion is smaller too. It usually gets crowded dinnertime so reserve a table or be there early.
