Nice retro style cafe great for a stop on your journey. Excellent coffee and nice service. You can sit inside - and also wonder into the small Bookstore next to the cafe - or outside and enjoy their breakfast, pies or sweet cakes And cool: the muffins get heated and served with a piece of butter for full indulgence
Good place to have a hearty breakfast! Coffee is also good. They open early so that's good for those who want an early breakfast before travelling to mt cook.Food: 5/5
Delighted to find great coffee and breakfast in Twizel over the weekend! We attended a wedding at Lake Pukaki, but stayed in Twizel. We are caffeine fiends and we're quite worried about where we would get a good brew. We were super pleasantly surprised to find Hydro Cafe was amazing! They happily accepted my glass jar for my coffee, and the Pumpkin/Vegetarian Fritatta was the bomb! And bonus points for being open at 0700! We did try to come back on the Sunday morning too, but alas everyone is entitled to a rest, and it is not open on Sundays Vegetarian options: Amazing Pumpkin Fritatta
HYDRO is one of our favourite cafes - excellent option if you are in the area. Great food/drinks iced coffee is one of my favourites.
Might be my favorite date scone in NZ yet. Really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious here though.
A lovely cafe in Twizel Market Square with great coffee and amazing Date scones. The have a wide range of food from cabinet to black board food to order. The are open 6.30 in the morning till 2pm. I hope over now that daylight saving is here that they will stay open longer so that you can get a coffee in the afternoon.Food: 5/5
Lovely place in Twizel. Pancakes were delicious same as coffee. Totally recommend!
We ordered coffee and breakfast. Since there were many coffee orders, we got our coffee 20 minutes after receiving our breakfast dishes. I expect from a good coffee place to know how to manage the coffee orders, if needed stop receiving new orders. Also, the coffee was mediocre.
Their Twizel Burger is one of the most unique burgers with very reasonable price in New Zealand in my opinion. There is a bookshop that connects with the café. They have quite a good collection of books that can be purchased if you enjoy reading.
Highly recommend! The food and Coffee were absolutely amazing coming from a barista! Staff friendly too and did well under busy conditions!Food: 5/5
