Hyde Park
"Hyde Park is Australia’s oldest park. It’s also one of the most well-known. With just over 16 hectares of wide open space in the heart of central Sydney, there is no shortage of lush grass if you want to claim a small piece of land for an impromptu picnic, or simply have a seat and take a breather. You’ll always be able to spot sunbathers clustered around in twos and threes, lazily soaking up the sun’s rays. There are also plenty of benches in the park if you want to put your feet up without ruining your Sunday best!"

A giant park that is near Town Center. It is a lovely place to take a break from the surrounding concrete jungle. The park is relatively big, and it is great to jog around dinner areas. The change in scenery can help maintain the interest while jogging. The fountain is located at the walking path and it is a lovely spot.
Spectacular park, established from 1810- 1927. I have been a wanderer of this park for over 35 years and still find it to be very interesting and exciting. With so much to enjoy, you'll want to spend the day here visiting many water fountains, the views of Sydney are awesome, many iconic landmarks can be spotted from here. Go for a picnic or just relax and enjoy. Don't forget to feed the posums with your kids at dusk, they love bread, pls don't get too close, they are people friendly but we must respect their wild animals. This beautifully maintained park has so much colour. The war museum at the West end is a must.
A must stop for anyone who loves trees, big trees, visiting Sydney. The figs at elegant and stunning. Fountains, broad walks, clean & tidy, with plenty of benches to sit and people watch. St Mary’s Cathedral on one side good restaurants of various kinds and prices on the other, close to the Opera House, and plenty of public transportation. Only downside were the public restrooms - portable toilets. Sydney, you can do better on that score.
Beautiful park, especially by night where you can see the possums and stunning war memorial. Very calming and serene place to be.
From a train station, to beautiful fountains to canopy laid passage, to a world war memorial, hyde park was something special, a peaceful place in the middle of the city. Worth going for a picnic or an everyday jog or even a cross through to reach the other side.
Amazing place to visit in Sydney. Lots of things to explore and do around the park. Great memories start here.
Great place to visit whilst in Sydney. A must walk item it has a variety of statues, memorials and other things to see. I think the city of Sydney was going for a central park vibe and they have definitely hit it. There are some public toilets about but if you really need to go there are a bunch of cafes and shops around. Would not recommend passing out on the grass after a night out as police get called out pretty quickly.

Great place to shoot pictures. Must visit places near the station in Sydney. If you are a nature lover it's for you big trees with fountain.
An iconic park in the heart of Sydney and the oldest park in Australia, the Hyde Park is one of the destinations that you should stroll through as part of your visit. You can include it as part of your walking tour of the iconic buildings around this area, where there are lawns for you to relax and people watch.
