I guess it's ok. All teachers are kind and nice except some annoying racist ones only like 4 annoying ones dw. Margarita makes the best canteen food especially the poke bowls and Mexican bowls!! There a a bunch of activities you can do e. g band, dance, choir, lion dancing etc. For yr 5-6 stage 3 , at the end of the year there are either dancing or a musical which are fun to do well only the musical So erm yeah bye.
5 star school in my era. I made so many memories here, with crazy hair day, colourathon, athletics carnival, swimming carnival, cross country, year 6 graduation, Band, dance etc. I really loved this school as I felt like the teachers really cared about our feelings and our younger selves. However, ever since the new principal came in, the schools organisation of events, new facilities are all messed up. Mr Rouland>> She just cuts down trees and spends the fundraising money on useless stuff. The deputy principal Mrs Sands also lacks the warmth and approachability that a primary school teacher, and deputy principal must have. Mrs West>> The canteen lady is the kindest woman ever, everybody loves her personality and food. I recently heard from parents during pickup times about a few students making a "bug hotel", and how the teachers made a permit for the stage 1 students to build it. This shows that the teacher's involvement and the nurture of learning within students lunch and recess. Personally, I did face an era of bullying in the school, which wasn't attended to as well it should have been, but my teachers were there for me, and I really appreciated that. Great school with great memories to last me forever.
alright school, made alot of friends and fun but it could be better
To be honest the school isn't that bad or that good. I feel like it could have been more though. I graduated last year feeling pretty refreshed. The canteen food is really expensive though. There was lots of physical violence. But I made really good friends there. Overall it isn't a really bad school. It's ok I guess.
Education was eh, the teachers there were not very good, substitutes were even worse.
This school does not focus on their educations, they spend their money mostly on gardening even though it doesn't make a difference to the playground. We have fund raising every year but on the second last week of my time at this school, they could not afford the my class money to get a colored T-shirt for 30 people. The teachers' education was worse than me at math even thought I am not the smartest student of the school.
This school RIGHT NOW is amazing, especially in stage 3, years 5,6 you have right now the most nicest teachers EVER. I only remember a bit of Mr Roland, but i think the present principal is okay, even through it might have been better. FOr me the only issues are: Not allowed to play with others that are not in your year group Some students likes gossiping teachers aren't really aware of students going in and out the school unless a students tells them. Happened today and that's basically it, many issues here before are fixed, even through being in a stage with higher expectations is a bit harder than the teachers think. I would recommend this school to a lot of students, because right now a lot of classes are friendly, also welcoming. I hope during 2021, the issues will be fixed, but here's my response, for now.
I graduated from HSPS in 2014, so this review might be a bit outdated. Overall, my experience here was pleasant. There were many different and diverse personalities of the students here that made it very fun to meet people whether they were similar-minded or not. The playgrounds were pretty spacious from what I remember, we had so many handball courts but I think some of the spaces have changed from now on and the play equipment was so much fun! The classrooms were engaging and helped me learn, but I don't think there was that much encouragement to strive for our best. I also remember being placed in a composite class every 2 years, which I felt didn't really help me learn all that well. However, this system may have changed from now on. We also had more language lesson choices in my final year e.g. French & Italian which felt very unorganised but that is understandable since it was the first year they implemented those lessons. Even so, the majority of my teachers were pleasant and super kind which made me want to pursue education in the future too! I definitely had a lot of fun at this school from 2008-2014 that I still reminisce about every so often. It had an engaging and fun atmosphere that I will miss, especially after Mr Rouland was principle. He was supportive and put himself in a position that sought to engage students which was very memorable! He also entered us into a ballroom dancing competition he was a judge which definitely was one of my highlights in Year 6.
I am in year 6 and all I can say is nice school. Really creative. Camps and other activities are really fun. My experience has been alright. Although this school bans practically everything that is fun. For example, card games and new toys. Most year 6 students are really nice and fun! though I wish that the teachers can teach us subjects that are the level we are meant to be. max tenison- not ALL the teachers are racist. Some like the librarian is actually quite nice.
2017 review Sadly many things are getting deteriorated. Stopped many good programs, events, tests, quotations on school sign’s down,... Nice and friendly school staffs are hard to find here now . 2016 review Excellent teachers Top academic and various non-academic programs nice mixed multi cultural background students Much more and better than what we expected before experience the school Miss the former principal Mr. Rouland...
