What a place, don't miss coming here if you are ever in Stanley in Tassie. You will have to book as it is a very popular place. I will have to congratulate them on everything, from the seats being very comfortable, toilets spotless with a disabled, a lift for people with disabilities and specially the food. The food was so fresh. Highly recommended the Crayfish supreme I should of had it for a main. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. I thought the costing was a little high, but when you get fresh and lots of it you don't mine paying for it.
Excellent service and wonderful food! Did not make a booking proper tourists! however it was not an issue to be seated. In saying that, would recommend a booking in the peak seasons, we arrived during a lull I think because the ace filled up FAST while we were ordering. Wonderful views over Stanley Harbour and Tatlows Beach. Kid-friendliness: Not an issue to have our 11yr old with us - observed other groups with kids also.
I would have given them a 5 star if it wasn't for the very ordinary prawns on the seafood platter dish. Because everything else was excellent. Sway the prawns for scallops anything really. Big meal.Food: 4/5
We had a delicious seafood dinner here at Hursey Seafoods. The staff are unbelievably friendly and can’t do enough for you. We were served by a very polite young gentleman called Adam and were impressed by his manner but also that the restaurant had provided some excellent training in hospitality too. The seafood was all excellent. We ordered the seafood platter for two, and also a medium crayfish. We’re absolutely had too much food and rolled out of there very very full.
Called in here recently while touring Tasmania. We arrived without a booking and although the place was quite busy they could fit us in. The service was friendly and considering how busy it was it also quick. I can recommend the seafood chowder, it has plenty of seafood and the scallops were whole some other places chop up the seafood in their chowder into small pieces which, in my opinion, detracts from the dish. Would definitely recommend a meal here. Reasonably priced and large servings. Parking: Plenty of parking was available.
The food was great, and I thought for the price the serving sizes were excellent. The customer service was okay. The biggest downfall was having separate servers to order drinks from. For example, when we received our food we tried to order more drinks and the waiter advised us only the “drinks girl” could do that, and she would get her for us. No one came out, and 30 minutes later, we walked up to the bar to ask for more drinks. Overall, we would go back, and it would be our first preference over the other option in town.
Not a bad location, some nice views of the ocean and sand. Wide selection of seafood available, nothing overly exotic however this is probably so you enjoy the seafood itself. The crayfish was decent sized, my wife had the half small, and the fish of the day was flathead which was great!
Very unique location, nice view if you go there during the day! The lobsters were so good, very fresh, recommend garlic and mornay sauce. All the other seafood was good, very good value for the quantity and quality!
Staff friendly and helpful. Prices were quite good. Had half Cray with chips and salad and citrus sauce and Val's Seafood Basket. All very nice. Good prices. Only let down was squid but hey everything else was delightful. Ensure you visit either the restaurant or take away.
View is good from the window. Food is good, but service was not good enough for a nice restaurant sitting. The ordering waitress was arrogant and not helpful with no smile. Both drink and food were served really slowly.Food: 4/5
