Happy New Year! Huntingdale Wetlands are wide in area. Be cautious that no boating, fishing, swimming, disturbing the wildlife or damaging the environment are allowed. There is a big and long lake which continues with Scotchmans Creek. Many birds fly, swim, dwell and feed there. I am delighted to record a duck family swimming by. It’s a wonderful place to walk, go jogging and cycling and picnic. You are recommended to apply sunscreen because there isn’t any cover along the walking trails. Huntingdale Wetlands are accessible by public transport since there are bus stops on Huntingdale Road and Ferntree Gully Road.
A pleasant linear walk that you can take your dog with you on leash. Quite a lot of bird life along the route, which can take you through the water ways at the end of the wetlands when the flow is light. Parking available on the street in several places, and it's generally quite a quiet walk.
A lovely place to take a walk, though still evidently under construction. It’s nice to see the different views though, and quite pleasant to be around water and see ducks and other wildlife. It’s a fair bit busy too, lots of people walking or cycling through along Scotchman’s Creek Trail.
Good place for a rest or a walk, with plenty of water birds/ ducks hovering & swimming in the lake.
I like the place where you can for walking with your loving family and spend some time in nature by observing a great scenics if really you're nature lover
