No one leaves under rate star.. I was very curious how come..? But u know what I agreed.. 100% recommends and you won't regret to have dinner here. Stiff were very friendly and very knowledgeable. We went with 4 of us and we ordered most of everything on 110 course menus.. all I can say is that presentation and taste were great.. Without bookings and gave us table on Saturday at 1930, it was amazing Nice views with sunset and looking at wineries. Variety of drink choices..
A superb long slow Sunday lunch The views are outstanding as you drive up to the Pooles Rock vineyard & prepares you for the great experience coming up. We were warmly greeted & shown to our outdoor table facing the water hole surrounded by rolling hills & vineyards. Peaceful, serene & simply breath taking - it was a view that transports you to somewhere like Tuscany in my mind!. Lunch is straightforward at $110/head for 3 courses. The menu has a nice variety & we spent time mulling over the interesting options while sipping on a nice bubbly. Overall the food that arrived was excellent. Delicious, fresh & the chef knows his cooking technique well, allowing the food to stand out whilst enhancing it with just the right flavours, spices & combinations. Everything was simply so well put together. The portions though not overly large was just right for a long lunch & we left without feeling bloated! Service is professional & helpful. The staff truly seemed to want you to just sit back, relax & enjoy the experience. The wonderful views served as the perfect backdrop. Highly recommend this place but reservations are necessary there is a waitlist!
Beautiful place for fine dining, loved the outdoor seating area. The food was delicious, couldn't have asked for more on beautiful sunny day. Dessert is must try. They have separate kids menu with vegetarian option.Food: 5/5
Hunters Quarter was the best way to kick off a honeymoon! As my wife and I finished desert, we both agreed this is one of the best meals we have ever had. I have been to numerous Michelin star restaurants and this place deserves a nomination. The food, wine, and service were impeccable. Thank you very much for an incredible time!
Odd experience. Beautiful place and good food, but perhaps the slowest and most mixed service of my life lol. I mean they warn you it’s “casual” but you start to feel more like an inconvenience than a guest. One server was very good bald guy with nice eyebrows, forget the name, everyone else seemed out of it. One girl served me water in a very broken glass and when I noted it, no apology or anything, just a whatever; I mean not that I need an apology, but the atmosphere just felt so unwelcoming except for that one guy!.
Best meal we’ve had in Hunter Valley!! All dishes taste great and especially the seafood entrees/mains, and desserts which are not overly sweet and very well balanced. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
A beautiful peaceful ambient setting. Food was superb and service was faultless thanks Boris and the lady. The set menu was spot on and the wine was also superb. Possibly the best fine dining experience in the hunter valley.Food: 5/5
Called in on a Saturday whim, Wonderful venue with some great tasting menus. The host was just perfect and knowledgeable with a good sense of humour and able to have a laugh.. Highly Recommended and being a local in Newcastle I’ll be back for a mid week lazy lunch Ona day off.
Always amazing food and service every time we come here! Probably my favourite restaurant in all of the Hunter valley. Please keep the cured duck ham entree on your menu forever!!!! Yummo! Keep up the amazing work guys!!! A++++++++++
The chef here is 10/10. The food was mouth watering, full of flavour and eveything was spectacular. We had the trufffle mushrooms, scallops, fish, pork belly and lamb. Great service and very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend if you're in hunter valley! You won't won't disappointed.
