When we pulled up to the window in drive thru, the staff member was just standing there on his phone and didn’t acknowledge us for a while — not a good first impression. We then waited 15 minutes for our food and had to park on the side of the service lane, which was inconvenient and not safe.nnWhen we finally got the food, the burgers had Coles-brand tasty cheese instead of proper burger cheese. The strawberry shakes were just vanilla ice cream mix with strawberry sundae topping dumped on top, not even stirred through. The chips we were apparently waiting on for “just 2 minutes” weren’t fresh at all — they were cold, squished, and thrown upside down in the bag.nnReally disappointing experience all around. Zero care or quality.
Bloke at the drive through was staring at his phone when we came to pay, made the thickshakes as sundaes, then got us to wait fifteen minutes for cold food. Also the chips were just dumped in the bag and were cold after being told they had to cook more and they used a completely different cheese to what they usually do and it was sickening. Maybe if old mate wasn’t so worried about his phone he could do his job.
If I could give minus stars I would. Decided to grab a breakfast wrap and a cappuccino on the way to work, the breakfast wrap looked and tasted like a dog had chewed it up and spat it out. That sounds pretty bad but the worst is yet to come.nnAfter my breakfast I decided to have a sip of my coffee which also tasted terrible. Not even 2 mins later I had come to the conclusion that they had used almond milk in my coffee without telling me nor did I ask for it. I am highly allergic to almonds and later ended up in hospital.nnGetting to the Customer service side, what a joke. On the 10/07/2025 when all this happened I thought I might add my two cents and let them know how badly they had stuffed up my coffee order but to my surprise they didn’t answer their phone, I called 5 times and left a message still haven’t heard back. I’ve since tried to contact hungry jacks head office customer and to my surprise no answer and I wrote an email which I have had no answer to.nnSince writing this review I have also contacted Victoria department of health and you should be hearing from them soon. I kindly encourage you contact your head office asap and ask them to reply to me.nnTo anyone reading this I may sound like a Karen complaining about a coffee but when it effects your health putting you in hospital and loosing half a weeks pay just started a new job so don’t have sick leave I think I deserve some sort of compensation. Also not to go on about how this affects my mental health regarding food/drink.
Last night I got a kids meal for my daughter. Bread all burned and no cheese??? I had to throw it in the bin
Still the best burgers by a mile but Avoid drive thru. Easy 10 minute wait and got a cold whopper. Wasn’t happy as was starving. Heated up at home and all good.
