Amazing place. Humble decor and an easy place to miss when walking past, but absolutely worth it! The service was excellent and the menu exciting and varied. The fare changes seasonally and I'd recommend trying a few of the smaller dishes and sharing them with the table.
One of the best fish & chips and fish burger we ate so far here in New Zealand. Best seafood resto in town. Cheers to John of Fastastic Tour guide for recommending this one.
We loved the fish and chips because they were not oily at all and almost looked like it was grilled. Raw fish in coconut cream was spoon licking delicious and snowpeas and zucchini salad was tasty. This business has a beautiful future ahead. Thank you once again to the Polish lady who served us tonight.
Fantastic restaurant. Great service, incredibly hospitable, amazing food. The Crayfish crumpet was out of this world. I've never felt compelled to leave a review before going to Hunger Monger.
Excellent seafood meals and very good service. We were a walk in but the manageress fitted us in before a later booking which was very accommodating and appreciated. Nice decor and atmosphere. Recommended dining.
Amazing place for dinner. We ordered a variety of small dishes and each dish was a great experience and an amazing combination of flavours, very well thought out food, super fresh and the decor and ambience were very enjoyable. Waitress and service very attentive. Highly recommend! Thanks for having us!
The best seafood restaurant I've ever been to. Always fresh seafood, delicious choices, large variety from sashimi to deep fried. Always friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We actually changed out travel plans and arrived a day early just to be able to go to Hunger Monger.
