The cinema wasn't bad, with the main entrance and candy bar area were clean. Staff were friendly, however requires better signage. This is both for Westfield the arrows to Hoyts disappear if you come from B1 parking, the recommended parking levels, as well as where to go if you booked online instructions on the ticket aligns with most Hoyts, but not this one. Inside the cinema I was in 4, there were crumbs over the seat and the connected cup holder. It didn't seem as clean as other Hoyts cinemas which I've been to. Also paper straws and Frozen Soft Drinks don't work together. Room for improvement, but still better than Events =
Nice and clean auditorium and yes it has recliner seats. Ample of parking in Westfield. You can get 4hrs free parking with the Westfield app if you feel 2hrs won't be enough. The service is good and they do have regional and international movies in Hoyt's Mandarin centre. Do check for promotional offers on the website which could save you some bucks. Overall nice experience and good seating. Overall very satisfied with the whole experience and would definitely recommend.
Lacking efficiency and service quality. Buttons didn’t work for my seat, and staff forgot to give me 3D glasses when 5 minutes of the movie have already started. Took 3 minutes to order two mint teas, and 15 minutes wait for it to arrive.
Westfield offers 4 hours parking so good for long movies. Recliner seats in all cinemas. Only complaint is recliner seat button moves both head and foot rest simultaneously, would be better if recliner had separate buttons for head rest and feet.
Food portion is generous, not bad either, enjoyed the cauliflower chips and Mac & cheese balls. Peking duck was average. First time to Lux and liked the complementary popcorn and experience was great.
Definitely the best cinema I have been to in Sydney. Very well organised. Very modern and clean. Beautiful chairs and leg space. Why would you go to smelly Event? Improvement areas : tables in the the waiting area need a regular wipe, the chairs need regular oiling or some wd40 as they were making a lot of noise . Toilets need refurbishment and some deodoriser.
I was really disappointed with our Lux experience. The food didn't turn up, our seats had people constantly walking past. The toilets are miles away. I won't go again. The seats were comfortable.
I went to Hoyts Chatswood and so happen to be in possession of an abnormally large head. I am also under the age of 16, so I am considered a child and when i went to buy tickets to avatar 2 in 3d the people working insisted that i should use the child glasses. Refusing to give me the adult ones even after I offered to pay for a seperate set. This made viewing the movie extremely uncomfortable for me as i have a massive noggin. This experience was really upsetting for me as I usually hold this cinema to a high regard for customer service.
We go here with my family many times, watching amazing movies and we think that it is a wonderful place to gather with friends and there is always lots of new movies to watch over there!
Chatswood westfield hoyts is definitely one of the better Hoyts in Sydney in terms of the actual cinemas, but the ticket boxes and concession desk have become outdated and the queues can get in the way of foot traffic sometimes. I like the updated mandarin centre better now but westfield is always fine
