My Mrs and myself was visiting the area from London and decided to stop and have a quick snack. We was pleasantly surprised when we was handed the menu. There were so many great and varied food, snack, dessert and most impressively drinks to choose from! The food we ordered was great and we stayed for 4 drinks of different herbal tea's and specialty coffees. Really good vibes, and the staff were 10/10. If we ever visit the area again this is the first place we'll return to.
An extremely nice place to go for a homemade cake etc or a lunch time snack. You need to have deep pockets here. My advice go for smaller portion option, but still expensive compared to some. Good price for cakes though. Vanilla slice beautiful.
Drove over an hour to reach this location after a recommendation and certainly wasn’t worth the effort. I feel like I must’ve caught them on a bad day Easter Sunday reading other reviews, but this shouldn’t make a difference- the service was appalling and the food/drink wasn’t much better. Served by three different individuals and my god what faces they had on them along with attitude out of their mouths. Coffee was flavourless and not enough with the milk ratio in a latte. Food pretty standard and drowned in mustard. Drinks/Food served at the exact same time created a feeling of get it down you and out. We skipped desert and went to a place down the road.
Lovely meals a bit slow and a little more veg or other would really have been better, lovely restaurant nice and bright although a little pricy Good position with 1 hour parking outside on street. My take is. 7/10
The meat was next level, it had that rich homemade flavour. I have to say this was the nicest burger I've ever had, cheese melted in your mouth . The portion sizes were very generous and the fish and chips were huge. Finally the strawberry tart was to die for!

Excellent! We had vegetarian breakfast, nice warm plates, food was divine, granary bread was divine! Staff very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back.
It's always a pleasure visiting this well known café and shop. Due to Covid restrictions you cannot enter the café through the shop but have to use the main entrance to café off the road. The meals are reasonably priced for the area and portion sizes are ample. Me and my friend had a coffee and a cake each, plus there's a tea shop upstairs selling a variety of loose tea and bags. Next door to the café is their deli and bakery shop. Delicious cakes and home made bread's aswell as gins and vodka.
We got some takeaway cakes, a bakewell slice and a 'beesting' which is a sweet bun with almond cream inside and almond slices on top. Just wow! So so tasty, big enough to share too!
