Great indian food :  The owner / boss was so nice and friendly, and served free papadums ? before our meal.  The Butter chicken and cheese naan were definitely the highlight for me!

I recently visited the Saravana Bhavan in Croydon, and I must say it was a disappointing experience. This place has nothing to do with the authentic Saravana Bhavan restaurant franchise. The ambiance suggests fine dining, but the food is far from authentic.  I ordered Chettinad Chicken, and it wasn't even close to what it should be. This place might fool some, but for those familiar with the genuine Saravana Bhavan in South India, it's clear this is a scam. Saravana Bhavan is known for its exceptional quality, and this place simply doesn't measure up. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Nice food, welcoming  atmosphere. Lots of variety of dishes to choose from for both vegetarian and non vegetarian menu , restaurant also have small bar so you can order beer , wine and mocktails. Restaurant have a big collection on big tea available.  Vegetarian options: There is special menu for vegetarian dishes , must try  Kid-friendliness: My kids liked butter chicken butter and  garlic naan.

Great little local gem, I'm not even a local but I love coming to eat here. Highly recommend the sizzling prawns, goan fish curry and lemon rice. Everything here is amazing but these will definitely be the dishes you'll order every time and keep coming back for.

First this is not the Saravana Bhavan chain in South India and they don't claim it to be. So if you were looking for authentic south Indian cuisine this  is not the place for you.  You need to reserve tables here but was happy to be accommodated. The staff is courteous and hence the 3 stars. You also get parking nearby which is good. Now to the main part - The food - is not that good. The Biriyani we ordered felt too dry and burnt and it felt like it was reheated in a microwave. The curry was not flavourful. Overall it was an expensive mistake.  I had to go to the real original Sarava Bhavan in paramatta to redeem myself. I will not recommend but given the other experiences you can try your luck.

I discovered this place 23 years ago when a friend took us there. Since then I’ve moved away but when I’m back in the area I make sure I pop in for some biriyani. Good food and lovely people who own it. Restaurant hasn’t changed in all that time!Food: 5/5

I love eating here. The food is so good that I keep coming back each time I'm in Croydon. The service is extra special too and I feel at home on arrival with the complimentary dips and papadums. The extra serving bowls were duly noted since I last came. Thank you again for a great dining experience. Can't wait till next time.
