Great spot, close to the BVRT with welcoming staff and patrons. Bit of a rush to get us to eat and close up for the night but understandable on Boxing Day. Clean room and bathroom. Cold drinks most refreshing after a long hard climb from Moore on the bikes.
Just a typical country pub but the rooms need a bit of work. No windows just a shared balcony overlooking the main street. Had a lovely timber swing that was great. Could not imagine staying here in the summer. Very hot with only a fan and doors you can't keep open. Had lunch there and the food was good.
After waiting around 45 minutes after ordering meals, a staff member came over & told me that they have no mash potato again. & with all my food allergies I can't just order another meal.nNow I'm feeling pretty silly, I hadn't been here in forever because the same thing happened last time. & I said I wouldn't come back. & look what happens. So now i am sitting in my car waiting for my family to finish their meals so I can go home.nI will never again recommend this pub to anyone. Go to Yarraman, or Linville.
We had the Tuesday lunchtime special of chicken snitchel with salad & chips for $15, and it was all very tasty and cooked to perfection, plus a very generous size.nThe staff were very attentive and friendly.nWe will definitely be back next time we pass through Blackbutt.
Brilliant pub. Stopped here on the BVRT. Great food, amazing staff and location. Rooms are basic but appropriately priced. We stayed on a Friday night and as expected noise was significant until after 10pm. Completely appropriate for a pub, but consider this if your looking for a quiet, early night while riding/hiking. Definitely recommend, and 100% for the food and service! Ciders good too.
