Visited their Hurstville store, ordered curly fries but they had none, so I accepted their offer for 'normal fries' for the same cost, which was $6. The serving of the 'normal' fries was so small I could literally count the number of fries in the bag. I have never paid $6 for so little chips.
Worst franchise ever in hurstville. Everytime i order, i always request to put spicy on both side chicken. And the staff always put spicy only one side. I really dont like hot star in hurstville. Bad

WHAT A JOKE. WORST HOTSTAR FRANCHISE. Legit I have the same response as the other reviewer. This place gives you chicken with so little spice/seasoning compared to other Hotstar chicken franchises, it makes you wonder if you're just eating plain chicken instead. Then I check my receipt and it says otherwise. Also, curly fries must be a national treasure for this store, so we'll preserved, not a glimpse in sight. No apology for giving normal fries instead of curly fries, I mean why offer it only to deceive your customer? The NON CURLY fries also lacked seasoning, so they failed on now two attempts to season the food, can't describe this level of absolute disappointment, if I opened this store, I would have already disowned it. Oh also, no signage outside, but this place is located inside the Gong Cha store, it shares the same space inside, you would never notice it walking normally if you don't peer into the store. If you own a car, go get the Hotstar from Campsie instead.
All the dogs were lovely and just wanted to play it was great parking sucked but what good beach has tones of parking.Atmosphere: 5/5
I specifically ordered curly fries ended up getting normal fries instead. No option to choose soft drink so wrote in notes/instructions for either coke or pepsi. Ended up getting Sunkist zero sugar. My partner is allergic to the sweetners in "no sugar" drinks. So minus another point. No call or message from the shop saying that things had run out hence the change in ordered items. Waited over an hour for it to be delievered to us bare in mind it was only supposed to be 30min wait at most since my house is so close to hurstville. If you ask me it definately was not worth the $50 i paid.
They changed into zhengxin big fried chicken. I was there for a meal,the owner/cook was so inhumane and disrespectful to customer. He told me to step aside while I was still ordering and when he made my order after 15 min for 5 pcs of chicken he asked me so rudely to show the docket and there was a box for docket he asked me to put it there as if he owned me. AVOID…
They are very stingy with their spice, it is never enough which makes the product taste bland. I always ask for extra spice but there’s barely any spice on the chicken.
Chicken is off, smelly!! Jesus... Could eazily get food posion...
Hot Star Hurstville. I frequent this store on occasion especially more so more for their crispy fried chicken, however this particular night i was told to wait 20 minutes... so i did. After 20 minutes i returned to the counter only to be told i had to wait a further 20 minutes as they had given my order to another person with the man serving me laughing in my face!!! Previous times ive had customers push in front with Hot Star employees allowing this and even some not understanding my order. Sorry but probably wont return as i have been left with a bitter taste in mouth.
