Hooker's Pacific provided really fine, quick, and efficient service for our domestic move within NZ; the belongings were packed appropriately and delivered on time even during the weekend. The staff was polite and one of the team members Kasa was particularly friendly. We can highly recommend them to other individuals looking to move places.
We used Hookers for a domestic house move within NZ The positives - the Hooker staff we dealt with on site were friendly and very helpful, took time to explain the process, and as professional as time would allow. The negatives - almost all of our whiteware and heavier items of furniture came out dented or damaged from the transit. Things wrapped and packed in boxes tended to better. However given moving things safely is the objective of paying professionals to do it I can't give more than one star. My feedback if you're intending to use Hookers is make sure they survey correctly, and their management allocate sufficient space for the load. It became very apparent during our load out that there wasn't enough truck space and so things became more and more haphazardly crammed in. It was also apparent that management didn't allocate enough time for the staff to complete the work, so quality was sacrificed due to time pressure to finish and get to the next job. Likewise the truck driver is contracted point to point so has no incentive to do anything but get your stuff on and off the truck as quick as possible. We've moved house several times with different companies and this is by far the most damage we've ever experienced.
I booked Hookers for my parents move and they were excellent, from the office staff who took the booking and liaised with me, right through to the guys who came with the truck. I can highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to move.
They are a wonderful firm to deal with even with the rain falling the day we shifted they had it all under control.
We've used Hookers for our last two moves, I would highly recommend them for fast, efficient service at a reasonable price.
