We've been going here for near many years, prior to it being Honest Dons and since. Was really disappointing on the weekend when we were completely overcharged for our breakfast and my wife politely waited for the queue to die down before approaching to ask about our order charge and was rudely responded with just a "its a weekend surcharge"and wouldn't even take the time to check the docket. I'm pretty sure a weekend surcharge shouldn't take a kids milkshake from $5 to $16, luckily there's tonnes of great cafe's in Thirroul we'll more frequent from now on and let this one be.
The staff are so friendly, warming and helpful. I highly recommend this cafe. The food is well presented and yummy. Glad that we stopped by on the way to Kiama. Thank you for making us feel welcomed.

If you are driving along the South Coast and want to grab a bite for brunch or lunch in a small, quaint coastal town, I would recommend this cafe in the heart of Thirroul. We ordered: Smashed avocado and feta, fill and lemon served on sourdough bread and two poached eggs. This was a decent, standard brunch dish. One of my eggs was slightly over poached no runny yolk, and there could have been a bit more feta cheese. Dukkah eggs - Halloumi, wiltered spinach, two poached eggs on sourdough. My other half also ordered a side of bacon to accompany this dish. This was the winner of the day, the eggs were poached perfect and there was the right amount of flavour balanced by the spices of the dukkah and saltiness from the cheese and bacon. Good coffee, they serve campos.
Best breakfast on the coast road and certainly best in Thirroul. Engaging and friendly staff and a really nice open cafe that catches the sun. Simple food served well and at a very reasonable price. All day menu is great. Lots of parking across the road and suitable for motorcycles.
We had eggs and bacon poached and scrambled Eggs were perfect! Bacon was tasty and perfectly cooked. Toast was wonderful with butter. My latte was perfect with a special sugar mix. Service was very fast and friendly. All up the experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Dog friendly. Thank you

Honest Don's is a shining light in the oversaturated cafe market of Thirroul. The coffee is superb and the service is super friendly and genuine. I ordered the vegetarian roll for a quick bite and it came out so quickly! I fell in love with the soft bun, oozing sunny side up egg all beautifully married with salty halloumi, fresh rocket and a lovely pomegranate aioli. All for $10 bucks! What a bargain!
