Our brunch was a comedy of errors. Coffees took forever to arrive and the waiter forgot to place our order meaning our friends waited an hour for a drink and two tables that arrived after us got their meals well ahead of us.   We did get a genuine apology after we alerted the duty manager (who gave us our coffees for  free which we had to fight for at the till)  and the tea we ordered never came. The food did not feel like value for money - no toast with the big breakfast, not enough cheese in the cheese toastie , very pale fries and my granola,yogurt and fruit looked thrown together -  too much granola, not enough yogurt and fruit - and not pretty looking. I wanted to love this place - it is beautiful but it is really hard to do based on this mornings experience.

The venue was really beautiful. Was a shame the food was very average. My salmon salad had so much dressing it was soggy. The food took forever to come and some drink orders were forgotten. Very dissapionting, had higher expectations.

I think I am being generous by giving it a star. We waited over 30mins for a coffee  our guest waitem an hour.  The waitress  forgot tone place our food order which took anot her 25 minutes.  To cap it all off  the meal were over priced and tasteless.   I will not go there again and I certainly will not be recommending this place to my friends

Very cute little cafe situated in the Wallace Art Gallery with views over the extensive gardens and out to Onehunga. Everything is local and they do their own baking; their crumpets are a must-try! Menu is quite small but there's still something for everyone. Great coffee too.
