Home instead has made every difference to me when I first came home from hospital after my back operation. I thought I would have to change home or move into Residential Care. The support I have received has allowed me to stay in my beautiful home, has given me confidence and security to be as independent as I can be. We are constantly working towards improving my capabilities with the help and support of the Care Givers. I am now going for my driver’s test next week. Did not think 1 year ago that this would be possible.

Home Instead have been providing high quality in home care for my elderly father for some time now.  Many thanks for the excellent service, combined with the flexible and caring approach.

Giving this company one star is generous. As a disabled person, recovering from major surgery, the level of service is a disgrace. Coming from the Sunshine Coast where Home Instead were fantastic I expected Melbourne to raise the bar even higher. Given the population it seemed a reasonable expectation. I was so wrong. The few competent carers I have are excellent. But I have literally lost count of the ones who have failed to meet even one of my fair & straightforward requirements. I even checked with my Noosa carers that I wasn’t difficult. They told me I was one of their easiest clients. The least demanding & most reasonable. I have asked for a new Case Manager. Should she meet my expectations I will post again.

We have only recently engaged the services of Home Instead Melbourne Inner East branch as my mother, who is 93 lives alone and has recently re-located from Queensland and is still independent enough to be "home instead". It gives me peace of mind to know that help is only an email or a phone call away. From shopping errands, chemist prescriptions, drop offs at medical appointments etc., Rita, mum's care-giver attends to all of these things eagerly and efficiently. Above all, mum sees Rita as a friend who takes her out for lunch, a walk in the park, or someone who mum can have great conversation with in the comfort of her own home. Companionship is the key to mum's well-being and I can see an improvement in her since getting help. The office staff should also be commended for prompt replies and efficient service. Well done. Client centred care is paramount, Home Instead provides exactly that . A great provider to work for , supportive and caring , not always the case with some service providers , as an ex HACC worker I engaged Home Instead to provide home care services after a hip replacement . As expected, I had excellent service and can highly recommend Home Instead as a service provider .

Home Instead always provided the necessary care to my late brother in a timely and caring fashion
