"Home Grain Bakery first opened in Aldinga in December 2011. 8 years later, we have two more shops on the Fleurieu in McLaren Flat & Middleton and we’re are only here to make people smile. We believe life should be full of things that make you feel good! For us, that means surrounding ourselves with good people and preparing and sharing great quality food! As a Fleurieu-based family owned business, we are super proud that everything we make has at least 99% Fleurieu-based ingredients. To us, this is how you create strong local communities. I'm a regular customer who has spent hundreds at the bakery, my wife and I are usually at least twice a week. The last few times including this morning are breakfast was very overcooked and not worth the $25 especially when there has been a price increase and quality decrease. I got two kranskys one croissant and one mince pie. All very over cooked and dry. I don't mine paying the extra for bakery these days. But not when the quality has been so low these days. Kransky have gotten smaller and more expensive.
A little torn because although their pastry is definitely worth 5 star, I’m a serious coffee drinker and lover, read the reviews after having a hard time finding a decent coffee in aldinga, so though I would give this place a go. Coffee is shocking sorry to say. Aldingas coffee game is shocking
We loved our pies and pasties from here, lots of meat in our pies too. Great little lunch stop. Wonderful coffee. Busy, but all hot pastries were available, so well stocked in their oven. Beautiful little street with lots to look at. Great atmosphere eating on seats outside. You must stop here, highly recommended ++
A great bakery with amazing coffee. Staff greeted us all with a smile. Lots of beautiful deserts and a great view of the gardens. A lovely place to go for a cake and coffee.
I have purchased many family pies all flavours, kitchener buns, vanilla slices, donuts and coffee. Also love the small tuna pies. Friendly staff and bonus systems for purchases. Great bakery
My beef and green pepper pie was good, the lady serving me was welcoming, my chocolate croissant was a bit ordinary but probably would have been exceptional if it was served warm. Nice bakery, I enjoyed sitting alfresco overlooking the main drag while I ate my treats. Would eat there again.
Does this place have the BEST pies 'n' pasties? Sure does! But keep it quiet, or there'll be none left next time we pop down.
A little bit busy today as was expected, but we were served quickly by a lovely lady, and the food as always was amazing. Coffees also came out quickly considering they told us there may be a little wait. One of our favourite bakeries
This is very good bakery and also the only one The pie need to be more crunchy as too soggy And price to be review as if you have a family with children you can stop only once so expensive
I purchased quite a few cakes Sunday 10 July to take to a nursing home for a treat. Choc donuts and vanilla slices were so stale we couldn't eat them. Obviously this bakery customs to non locals, only travel through tourists, BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED and angry that I spent $33 on stale old stock
