Story

Built to resemble an old ship, as you delve deeper into the venue, Holy Grail’s rustic wooden interior, littered with unique and antique pieces will take you further and further away from the hustle and bustle of Chapel Street.

With an open plan seating area in the front of the venue, further down it becomes more intimate, with private booths, couches and lounge chairs lining both sides of the bar.

Small and intimate gatherings, or large and lively groups – We can entertain whatever night you have planned.

With ever changing seasonal cocktails, our bartenders are able to create all the classics, as well as anything your heart desires. Our local and international beers, wines and spirits set a benchmark for the best bars in Melbourne.

Very cool interior, reminds me of a pirate ship vibe. I like how you can turn on the light switch in the booth when you’re ready to order! The drinks are made in front of you and there’s many different drinks to choose from. They also serve delicious food including pizzas, pastas, and finger food. Great place to grab a drink with friends as well as a bite. Music not too loud that you can hear each other talk Service was fast and efficient.
Rusty and cozy place, perfect for hanging out with friends. Not much option for food which is understandable but both pizzas we had were very tasty and full of flavours. the drinks were amazing, both taste and presentation.Food: 3/5
A busy hustling bar on Chapel St with lots of intriguing cocktails! A place with dim lighting, with lights of green & red, creating an alluring atmosphere. There is an outer smoking area, but the smell of cigarettes travel inwards towards the inner booth area. They have a service light per booth, which is pretty cool, where you can just flick the light switch and someone will attend to you. Out of all the drinks we tried, I loved the watermelon long island & the white lava the most! It was still bustling at 11pm on a Wednesday night, which showed locals love this chic cocktail bar.

Loving this bar especially with the private cozy booth seating & interior, have to mention their wholesome array of house cocktails and everything we tried were just amazing! Especially the Yuzu and plum cocktails!!! Food: 4/5
Arrived at the venue with some friends and ordered a $70 bottle of wine. Before we had finished 1 glass of it the bouncers came over and said we had to leave as they were closing. The bouncer didn't let us finish the bottle and said we had to leave immediately as he stood over us. It was 21 minuets from the moment I paid for the bottle, to the time the venue closed according to Google. I realize that as a venue, you have your closing times but why would you let someone order a whole bottle, and not even mention that you were closing soon? I would have been more than happy to just get a glass but I wasn't informed of anything.
Great cosy vibes love the unique ship theme! The best thing is how delicious and drinkable the cocktails are. They also have a great happy hour to check out. Love the dessert styles and fruity cocktails. They don’t do proper food though!Food: 5/5
Live Music EVERY Thursday The cocktails at this bar left me utterly amazed! From its combination of flavours absolutely mind blowing! First 3 choices: Watermelon Long Island Raspberry Fizz Kiwipedia Then more cocktails: Lychee Paloma Pearfecto Orchid Conversation You can also get food at the bar coming from their neighbours, Freddy’s which is an amazing Italian Restaurant! FEATURED: Antipasto plate THE ROMAN: mortadella / provolone / fior di latte/ roast cherry tomato / basil DANNY ZUKO: san marzano / sopressa salami / fior di latte/ red peppers / gorgonzola / basil PAUL BUONGIORNO: finocchio sausage / fior di latte/ rapini / garlic / chilli / parmigiano The booth tables — has a light where you can just light it up when you wanna order more drinks! It’s truly a great concept! Highly recommend checking this place out This place is an amazing 3 in 1 destination for food, drinks & live music
Love the big comfortable booth seating and that to get a drink, you turn on the light. Great selection of cocktails and enjoyed the pasta and pizza.Food: 4/5
