To start with, chips were cold and staff were rude. The food is very expensive for what we got which didn’t taste good at all. The price doesn’t match the seats, they are so uncomfortable as they are hard and made with wood. To be paying $50 for a average steak that you could get some where else for $20 is terrible. The staff rolled their eyes at us while paying. The women has an attitude as well. The extra bowl of chips was tiny. This restaurant is supposed to be suited for a family but how can a family afford this? Every time we come to Hogs it’s more and more expensive. We ordered an Ice Cream was two scoops but the scoops looked deformed after our main meal and the waitress put slid it on to the dirty plate that the main was on moments ago. Very unsatisfied about this experience, definitely wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
Can't go wrong with this place. Fun and casual place to dine, offering great scotch fillets and entrees. The kids ofcourse love the curly fries as I'm sure most do. Great location and although I love the rustic interior design, it wouldn't hurt to do a bit of an upgrade. Service here has been consistent.
Friendly staff but the food was very very average. $43 steak needs to be a good quality cut it wasn't. The steak ordered was medium rare but it came out medium cooked. The vegetables were so over cooked that they were crumbling and water logged. This place used to be good once upon a time now it's just not worth a visit.
Not worth the money. Got cold fatty brisket, very dry and too sweet ribs and 4 small and cold potato skin and two drinks for $80+ in total. Service is very slow.
Hog’s Breath cafe CAIRNS is one of my favorite steakhouse. Unfortunately Hog’s Glenelg was gave me terrible experience. That day was Saturday night. Even though it wasn’t busy, we got our steaks 1 hour after we ordered. In addition we ordered medium rare but our steak was overcooked, strongly hard and dry. I couldn’t bite it off. Anyway we send it back I never send it back! My first time The staff said “ we really do cook it for 18 hours “ so what !? I had really juicy and tender steak at CAIRNS. After half hour later, we got another steak but it wasn’t good. Not only that, next our table had SAME things. They said the steak was like rubber band. It’s so disgusting. We wasted our time and money. If google has Zero star, I definitely give them Zero star.
Amazing prime rib steaks cooked to perfection. Staff friendly and accommodating, clean and welcoming restaurant. Can’t go past Hogs Breath for mouth watering, quality steak!
In my personal opinion, and according to our experience The food did not have the good flavor that we expected, none of the food was good and we ordered 5 different food. My husband ordered salmon and something burnt arrived, but he still ate it. I ordered a medium well meat and it arrived medium raw, but ok, I ate it even though it was not what I had ordered and the mashed potato had a very ugly taste; My daughter ordered a medium raw meat and it arrived well done, and made change "twice" and the food came the same , so much so that she had to cancel the order. Not enough with that, the waiter boy made rude gestures to my daughter, he rolled his eyes, ohh for God! Too bad, because it was a place that we had wanted to visit for a long time and we did not like the experience.
Located upstairs, at the end of Jetty Rd. Lots of indoor seating, and also out on the balcony when the weather is good. We had Hickory pork fingers as an appetiser, which were great, with an amazing sauce. My wife had a lite cut prime rib with salt and pepper calamari, cooked medium, but wasn't grilled enough, so was a bit light on flavour. I had the mega prime rib with smoked Hickory, cooked medium, which started off well, but I found a large seam of fat. As I got toward the end, the steak was rare.
I dined here on the 16th of March at roughly 11:58pm. I ordered their famous onion rings and I could not express enough the tenderness and juiciness of these onion rings. The first bite had me sent back to my 4th birthday party flashbacks. The balloons in the sky and the confetti in my eyes. I then dropped my cutlery and started going all in with my paws. Chips in the air and grease on the tip of my nose I was having the ball of my life. I then walked over to the closest waitress and gave him a little kiss on the knee and said thank you for your incredible feast. I walked out the shop like Mike Tyson after knocking out an opponent. I then began my hike up the street to my tap dancing lesson. I was top of the class that day, thanks to the energy and power I gained from my succulent meal. In conclusion good food.
Steak was cooked perfectly but only just warm. Meals came out sporadically we did have a big group though Staff not overly friendly and one even rolled his eyes while we were totalling the bill Would go back for the food but for the price could go elsewhere and find better quality
