The chicken parmigiana was quite dry. Decent portions of meals though. Staff needs to pay more attention to servicing customers. Majority of the night trying to get staff’s attention was hard when they were just talking.Recommended dishesChicken Parmigiana, Fish & Chips
Good service. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The decor felt right and the food was good. We ordered burgers. They came out quickly and were cooked perfectly. The chicken burger in particular had a great crumb
Doneness of steak requested was medium rare but came medium well. Good service recovery by wait staff, however when second steak was served, it was still medium well. The fries were good.
The steak doneness for medium rare was not achieved. The Mac & cheese tasted like pasta porridge. Disappointed. The wedges & dessert - cheesecake was good though.
Have come down from Sydney this weekend to see my little brother and father , my brother had decided he wanted to go to hogs breath for his birthday dinner . When we arrived we had decided to grab a few drinks from the bar . When I walked up to the bar to order drinks there were 3 staff members in the bar , all of them looked at me and made eye contact while not acknowledging my presence at all and ignoring me . Later on after we had received our entrees, one of the ladies in the bar took our plates and we requested a few napkins and a fork which she proceeded to give us an unimpressed glare at us . When she came back with our napkins , the “new “ napkins were in fact dirty , and had to wait for another 5 mins for a fork . In all honesty the food was good , and shout out to our waitress bubbles . She seemed to enjoy being there and was very charismatic, she gave us great service . But the customer service is lacking and not inviting .
Ordered two steak medium rare but they came to us rare, was unable to eat entirely. Staff were very attentive & apologetic. Restaurant was neat & tidy but prices for the quality of food served are to high. Parking was an issue also. Parking: There were perhaps 5 or 6 parking spaces available for the whole restaurant, the rest of parking available nearby you had to pay.
Went to launceston on a holiday for a week. I loved Tasmania and wish to go there again. For my last night I went to hogs breath and loved the service and the food. Bit pricey but they have a little gift shop there.
Came in tonight to celebrate my daughters birthday. Food was great and had the best customer service we've had in years. My daughter is very shy, and I really appreciated that they asked if they should sing or not before hand! We will definitely be back :
Very friendly and patient staff. But, we were notified the prime ribs were sold out 25 minutes after we ordered, waited 60mins for our meal, medium rare turned out well done or rare, waited another 30mins for the rare one to be served again, turned out well done too. Steak texture is rough, no seasoning…
We had a booking of 10 people. Most of the table found their food to be adequate. No meal could be described as good by any standard. I had a medium rare sirloin that came with a choice of 2 sides. I chose salad and seasonal vegetables. The salad was okay considering that the plates were heated. The vegetables were cold and barely blanched. They took the meal away, then bought it back with the promise of a fresh serve of vegetables. When the new vegetables arrived in a timely manner, they were hot as promised, still terribly under cooked. I then got to eat my cold over cooked chewy steak. I will never go back to the venue again.
