Good friendly service, food was delicious, thanks for a wonderful dining experience
A lot of people are hesitant to eat at Hog's Breath due to the higher prices. Whilst I completely agree that you will pay more here than at a fast food or an Asian style food court kiosk, the difference in quality is substantial. Not only in the quality of food but the quality of service. Hog's Breath is an exceptional restaurant offering quality steakhouse meals and sauces/marinades worth the higher price. The environment of the restaurant is informal and relaxed but undeniably professional. I would recommend Hog's Breath for any occasion where you find yourself wanting high quality, delicious food For this specific restaurant, Hog's Breath Cafe Forster; I believe this particular location upholds everything I've said so far and beyond. It was an obviously busy night but the staff had no problem serving me in an effortless manner. The staff were extremely friendly and inviting and made me feel like a regular. My food, as you may have guessed, was outstanding. All of this combined with the gorgeous view of the river makes Hog's Breath Cafe Foster an excellent experience for locals and tourists enjoying the serenity. Absolutely, could not recommend more. Thank you!
Have to say we were really disappointed after our recent visit to Hogs Breath Forster. We have been here many times whilst holidaying in Forster, but this time it would have to be the worst. Perhaps a change in ownership and new kitchen staff. Our wait for our food was way too long between 45min - 1hr! The delivery of food also was not consistent either, bring only one meal at a time first a kids meal and once that was finished we received another kids meal, again finished and still waiting for our other meals! I really don't know what happened on this occasion but they really need to look at what is happening in the kitchen. Then by the time I got my food, my fish was so dry and over cooked it was terrible. Food portions have also been reduced. The only saving grace for this restaurant was the Manager who was lovely and you could see she was really trying. They are also not taking the Hog Breath membership card any longer which is disappointing since their prices aren't cheap. Disappointing experience and won't be back!
Staff and service was excellent. We didn't have a booking but they quickly found a table for our family of 4. Service was efficient and friendly, and they brought the kids meals out super quick, and ours weren't far behind. It was also no problem when our 8 year old asked for a 2nd bowl of pasta from the kids meal, and it was delivered quickly too. The Red Bull TV kept the kids entertained as well. Food was tasty and we could not fault it. Thankyou.
The times I've been here, I've had no issues with the staff. They're very friendly and always have a smile. On my most recent visit, I didn't have a table booked and we managed to secure one. I strongly recommend you book, COVID-19 or not. The food is usually great, however once or twice my food wasn't cooked to my request, but thats not a big deal. The cost of the food can get pretty expensive too, especially some of their steaks.
Myself and a friend visited the Hogs Breath Cafe in Forster Saturday night . The staff were friendly and efficient. We knew what we wanted and ordered . The Margherita tasted like dish water and we only drank half of our drinks and sent them back. My steak was cooked to perfection ,however my friends was tough and he only ate half of it. I was assured my vegetables would be hot but they were served warm and the potato skin tough. We both raised the issues but the staff shrugged it of. Hogs Breath charge Resturant prices for their dishes and therefore the quality of food and service should be held to that standard. Not only in the quality of food but the quality of service, I found the food and service was below the normal standard of Hogs Breath Resturant’s In regards to this specific restaurant, Hog's Breath Cafe Forster; I believe this Resturant needs to lift its standard. We did not enjoy the experience and will not eat there again.
Been here many times before being a family favourite and tradition whilst staying in Forster for holidays. Experience was average. Food tasted ok but serving size has reduced somewhat and the menu range has definitely taken a dive since our last visit. Always regarded Hogs good value for money but definitely not what it once was. Prices have increased 10-20% since our last Hogs meal in Sydney around 12 months ago and menu range is not nearly as good as it use to be either...assuming all Hogs prices are relatively the same...took a while for drinks and food after ordered considering it wasnt busy at the time...and no interest what so ever from any of the staff if we were pleased with our meal or experience. Wasn't asked if we were interested in dessert and had to approach for the final bill. Considering the bill came to near on $200 for 2 adults and 3 kids with 1 entree and no dessert there are many other better for money restaurants out there and this will be the last time we eat at Hogs unless things improve. Many other restaurants out there begging for business and offering better meal experience.
Awesome service and amazing smiling staff, especially our waitress. Sticky table. Steak was very good. Veges a bit light on. Corn was very nice. SP wedges were pretty good. Will definitely go again
Hubby and I ordered two prime rib steaks with curly fries and garden salad, mine was also with salt and Pepper calamari. Well the steak was paper thin, never have I had a Hog’s breath steak like it, and no flavor. The garden salad was in fact a coleslaw and the calamari was just just full of salt and that’s about all. Also why call them curly fries? They were just bits of fried potato. Pretty shocking. Only pasting through Foster thankful that I never have to dine there again!!!
Attended there yesterday for lunch. Ordered a medium steak. When I received my order steak was well done and dry. Tried to tell a staff member but didn't seem to care. Staff wouldn't even smile. Won't be going back there again.
