The best dining experience in my life. Firstly, the menu has a great range for all dietary requirements, restrictions, and lifestyles. Secondly, the food itself was magnificent! Thirdly, the staff were kind, interactive, and entertaining. And finally, the lovely man who worked there gave us all cultural instruments to try out! Made for a very fun night!!! Vegetarian options: Options for vegans and vegetarians with a large range. Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff and environment safe for all ages. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps and slopes for wheelchair accessibility
Friendly service from the moment we arrived. The food was splendid. They have a reasonable wine list with pricing that is fair.We took our own bottled wine and paid the reasonable $14.50 corkage charge. Would we go back ? Yes, definitely.
Can’t recommend this place enough! Walked in and had the best food and service we could have ever asked for. We dined with a toddler, so if you’ve had one you know that can make your dining experience way more stressful - but the chef made him his own lentil curry and rice which he devoured and spent time with him colouring in and talking to him while we ate. He was the sweetest man and on top of all of that the food was incredible. We had dumplings, prawn curry, lamb, naan and rice as well as some sweets and we couldn’t fault it. 100/10 these guys were incredible! Thank you to the chef and the lovely waiter for the best experience
A big shout out for Bhim , Holly and the Himalayan Kitchen's staff. They made my son's birthday party lunch truly special. Not only the food was great but the whole experience was just amazing . Thank you so much . We enjoyed our time there .
Dinner at @thehimalayankitchen from a couple of weeks ago: good food, friendly service, and the chef even came out to say hello and asked if we wanted extra chilli . . Momos: homemade steamed dumplings. These were really tasty! The dough wasn't too thick, and the fillings were big. . Pakora onion fritters: can't go wrong with these! . Spicy potato salad: they gave this one to us to try. It was quite spicy! But really tasty . . A selection of curries, with pappadums and basmati rice. All the curries were super yummy, and were fairly mild. The added chilli on the side was excellent . . Mango lassi: yum yum yum .
Excellent experience. A truly fantastic family business. Cannot fault the food, the service, the decor, easily the best meal we had for a long time. We had the banquet which gave us a taste of everything. One dish was better than the next. Recommend it to everyone... And the singing bowls were a hit!! Shame we can't give it more than 5 stars. Can't wait to return!!
Great traditional food, made with love. A beautiful family-run business and all-round fun and interesting dining experience. We all loved the singing bowl lessons and learning about a new culture. Will definitely return.
If you're looking for a place to celebrate a birthday or event, AND have an excellent meal this is the place to go! Went here with a group of 10 people and we all ordered the banquet. The food was amazing and there was more than enough to feed everyone to bursting point! They were very easy to work with around dietary requirements vegan, vegetarian, allergies.
I stated with Vegetarian Momos, Homemade steamed dumplings, filled with seasonal vegetables and fresh herbs and served with a fresh coriander and tomato achar, The achar sauce is perfection. For Mains I had Khasico Masu - Slow cooked tender goat in traditional Tibetan manner enriched with mustard oil and fenugreek. This is a superbly tender. Make sure to fold your garlic roti, basted side out, and take a moment to taste it, it has a true depth of complexity to the flavour and dip it in the goat curry sauce, if you don't, you are missing out! If it's not offered, ask for the pickled chilli, roasted, on the side. Go gently, but if you like a little wow, then this will bring it.
As we sat down, someone else came into the restaurant and asked for a table 'because his friends had told him he had to eat there'. They were right. Family-run established with authentic food. Excellent goat curry cooked in Tibetan style with mustard oil and fenugreek. And remarkably good value. Located in North Adelaide a fair walk from the CBD, but well worth it.
