Attended the Squealing Pig Dinner last night at Highfield; wonderful event! Food was great.. would like to see those dishes on the regular menu! Wonderful service.
A little loud towards the end of the night, was hard to hear each other across the table but that's to be expected on a busy Friday night arrived at 6pm left at 8pm. Friendly staff lovely atmosphere, delicious food which had a great variety of gluten free options, kids menu was great and even better my 3y/o ate it so that's high praise! Will definitely be back! Thankyou!
Food: 3.5. Generally good to really good. But sometimes not good at all. Pre Covid it was great, post Covid it was bad, but getting much better now.nService: 3.5 Also. The staff are great but sometimes the bar is lacking and the waits are too long. Especially if you just want a beer and somebody else wants cocktails and meals.nAtmosphere: Always epic. I guess that's why we deal with the other stuff and come up twice a week for dinner and drinks.nnOverall we love the Botanical for better or worse. It's a bit like a marriage haha.
Great Pub, sensational food especially the Pizza, Great service from all staff, if you're up for a fun night try Drag Bingo Tuesday night once a month.
I recently hosted my baby shower at Highfield in the Botanical room and it was absolutely lovely! The staff were so accomodating throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. No request was too much and my event could not have ran any smoother! My guests were very happy with the food and service as was I.
