Pre- Christmas lunch for us at Botanical and it was lovely with a great vibe. Food was very good and a great variety even for the coeliac’s. We had the pork was cooked superbly and portion size was large, along with the Bang Bang Chicken salad. And we couldn’t help ourselves with guacamole for starters.
Booked a table on the weekend to celebrate my birthday with some friends. I come here quite often and usually enjoy the venue. Not last night. While waiting for my first drink at the bar I was rudely asked by a staff member by the name of Chloe to move because she was serving someone who was ‘in front’ of us. I was a bit confused as we had already ordered and were just waiting for our drinks. We moved out of the way and then went back to our table. About 40 minutes later we walked up to order a second drink and the same girl who by the way wasn’t serving us yelled at us across the bar in front of other paying customers and told us we were to be escorted out by security. On the way back to the table a manager stopped us and asked what happened because the staff member said she felt uncomfortable. We explained the situation and she said “sorry about that. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll have a chat to her”. Clearly the girl wasn’t happy that she didn’t get what she wanted so went to another manager, changed the story and said we abused her. This manager then came over, accused us for being abusive to her staff members and kicked us out. If you actually look back at the security footage you will see that we didn’t even speak to her. We were just chatting waiting for our cocktails to be made by another staff member. The girl clearly has something going on in her personal life and shouldn’t be taking it out on paying customers. I am absolutely disgusted and appalled at the way the situation was handled and how I was treated. The girl abused us and then we were kicked out. Clearly discriminating against our gender and age. So much for a nice enjoyable birthday night out. I had 2 drinks and didn’t even get to eat my dinner. I won’t be returning that’s for sure.

Cool vibe, multi level establishment with something for everyone. The Botanical is really nicely decorated and the cocktail menu is fun and well priced. I had the barramundi for dinner and it was delicious and well presented. Plenty of parking outside the venue.
Great atmosphere, very family friendly with a vibrant and relaxing ambience. The food is great, lots of variety and not long of a wait even when there is a huge crowd.
Great menu. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Pleasant view over to the city. Awesome location for a cheeky cocktail. Also a great spot for a special occasion. Great management.
An awful lunch today. "Veal" schnitzel was tough and overcooked. Chips hard and tasteless and we won't even mention the coleslaw! $80 not well spent. Beer was good!
Awesome place, great food and wine. Music was amazing with a DJ on Friday night and staff were super lovely!
Lively pub with great food. Good selection of specials for food and beer. Booking recommended if you’re going to eat there.
This place is overhyped, it’s loud, busy, and poor serviced. The drinks took ages to arrive, one of the chefs was touching food with their bare hands, and we were sat at the wrong table. Overpriced and overhyped
