Great country bakery with excellent bread for sale, coffee and sandwiches, pies and quiches. Perfect stop on the road trip to Melbourne. Great Aussie sweet treats like caramel slices and lemon tarts as well.
While very overpriced..$17 for over toasted, foccacia sandwich have to say it was very tasty and rest food in cabinets looked nice . Got coffee ok coffee within 5 minutes then waited unacceptable time for them to simply toast prepared sandwich...drank coffee and still waiting.nMaybe understaffed?
Great Coffee, but the pastry’s not so much.nThe coconut slice was stale & had the fridge taste, the vanilla slice had yummy custard.nThe jelly cheese cake was honestly like eating plastic, however the apple pie thing & the macadamia caramel tart were ok.
Had a scroll and danish from here and I’m not joking when I say it was the best scroll I’ve ever had. Generous icing on top, soft in the middle and cooked to perfection! They even offer to butter it, too. Do yourself a favour and come here!nnPink icing is coffee scroll. Pink icing with a white squiggle is a coffee/apple scroll. White icing is cinnamon scroll. Would highly recommend the pink/white icing apple scroll! They also keep them all together and separate them as you buy them, meaning they don’t get dry through the exposed edges.
Gorgeous place ..just so rustic cosy and welcoming ..the girls were so friendly ..just a really cosy place for a cuppa and cake ..we had creamy iced coffee ..wagon wheel apple cake and vanilla slice ..they do sandwiches and rolls as well ....now i devoured the apple cake so sorry no photo ...now have you ever seen a wagon the size of this 1 ..i bet not ..its the size of my hand ..going through Benalla pop in ..they are open 7am to 2pm 7 days a week ..enjoy...
