Hideout Cafe is Wodonga's little gem! First up -Good coffee. Big serving sizes at affordable prices. This place caters for a range of diets- gluten free, dairy-free and veggo friendly as well as plenty of hearty meaty options. The egg n bacon muffin was huge and very tasty. Cakes were also divine. Every plate is beautiful with generous servings. Ooh and all day breakfast which is a definite hit. Massive menu. Nice decor. Good service. 4 stars.
Breakfast after lunchtime is always great.. I really enjoyed the Holindaise Sauce and poached eggs.. Tea pot was very good too..
Wonderful atmosphere and great food. In a quiet location just off one of the main roads. I had breakfast there and I was impressed by the way they greeted the regulars and chatted to them while I was eating. Welcoming atmosphere and quick service. Would definitely recommend Hideout Cafe to anyone.
Food is sensational. Beautifully plated and fresh— made by a surprisingly young chef. Service is awkward. Forgot one of our drinks, only to be told we hadn’t paid for them even though we ordered them? Our table and the display cabinet were grubby. Would only go back if they polished up the service.
The place is very different to what it was a few years ago. I presume new owners. The service was friendly. The food variety has shrunk and quality is not what it was. They are clearly trying but the place now has a amateurish feel. The coffee was good. The aspect with the northern run streaming in is still delightful.
Staff are very friendly. Food is varied, tastes great raspberry slice [gf] and chocolate slice served warm with cream - both delicious, many gluten free choices. Salads, soups, meals, snacks, great coffee plus other drinks available. Also have vegetarian and dairy free. Kids meals.Reasonable prices.
Great neighbourhood cafe for locals and I suspect not so locals like me. Freshly squeezed and yes it is OJ is sensational and fruit toast from local bakery is delicious. Staff are attentive and very friendly. The only suggestion I can make is maybe work on your quality of teas. However, this is one to travel out of the way for breakfast, coffee and lunch!
Had an excellent breakfast there. Definitely worth the effort to find. If only all cafes put as much care into their food. Certainly one of the best places in the region for coffee and food. Check out my photos.
Excellent place for a meal or just a snack or hot drink. Food is outstanding for a cafe with some very distinctive dishes. It sets the standard we now measure other cafes against. We just keep on coming back again and again...
An excellent little place for coffee, cake, or breakfast on a Saturday. I just popped by with a couple of friends and ordered the steak sandwich with the lot. It was massive! Steak, bacon, salad, cheese, egg pineapple etc wedged between two pieces of fine toast with a side of chips. One of the few smaller venues in Wodonga offering free wifi, reasonable seating, and top quality food. I would happily recommend Hide Out as the best place in West Wodonga for a bite to eat during the day.
