We were here for brunch for the first time; the vibes was good and staff were doing good too. I had one of my best Mocha here, and the brunches we ordered were also ok, although I ordered veggie fritters and I got veggie balls instead, but that was fine.
Gorgeous cafe with excellent food! I visited here last week for the first time and I wish I knew about it sooner. There are some great options on the menu and they make really good coffee. Will be back!
Amazing food and excellent coffee at the Hidden Jem Cafe. We ordered the Sauteed Mushrooms, Vegetable Fritters, Classic Toastie and Spicy Breakfast Bowl. The stand out was 100% the Vegetable Fritters. Crispy exterior, soft fluffy interior. Could not fault anything.
Great cafe in Kenthurst with beautiful decor. Food is delicious and tasty with great service. I have had the fritters for breakfast which were divine and pork tacos for lunch that were really good. Great coffee too !!
Amazing experience, we sat under the awning infront of the register and it got lovely and warm without being noisy. Lovely staff and even better food. I had the coconut yogurt pot, my friend had the pancakes. Will be bringing all of my friends in no time :D
Nice spot across the road from the park. And everyone else liked their brekkie burger and bacon and egg rolls however my beef burger wasn’t enjoyable. I didn’t like the beef at all. It was like sausage meat and didn’t taste right. I was surprise that I wasn’t on the toilet that afternoon.
True to its name, hidden gem with amazing ambience, spacious outdoor seating, amazingly relaxed vibe and a playground opposite to the cafe. Ticks all boxes for a weekend brunch!
Hidden Jem is as the name suggests, is an absolute gem. Booking a table was simple, with prompt responses and friendly reminders. Their food is incredibly well presented and tastes divine. There is something on the menu for everyone. The front of house welcome and greeting is very personable. Will definitely be going back.
Visited on Sunday and in my experience, I was unimpressed. We arrived at 8am on Sunday, there was lucky to be 5 other tables inside and no one outside. There was a fete being set up across the road that looked like a few set up people were coming across for coffee but that's it. Ordered 2 piccolo's, eggs bene and chilli scramble egg... after about 15 minutes the scramble or what they served me came out. I guess at least out of 3 words in the title, there were eggs because there was no scramble but an omelette type egg served and certainly no chilli or chilli oil on the plate. At this time I followed up on the coffee and was told the were coming. Unimpressed that the meals didn't come out together, I started on mine and 10 mins later the bene came... still no coffee. Bringing out meals at seperate times for a table of 2 makes it just so awkward for both people as if you wait, the first persons meal gets cold and if you start its super awkward. After another 10 and seeing others come in, order takeaway, get it and go I decided to ask the barrista where the coffee was. She searched her machine and found our order wasn't there. To her credit, she promptly made the 2 coffees and they were actually nice. When the waiter came over to drop them off, I asked her if my egg was right considering it is described as a scramble and she said that's how the chef wants to present it but can see my point. After such a bad and unacceptable experience, we certainly won't be back.
Breakfast burger was delicious and very generous size. Coffee tasted great, but more on the smaller size.
