They have done a LOVELY JOB at renovating & extending this historic building. The glass extended side of the building, gives a Sparkle to the atmosphere. You can also see from all the seats in the Theatre. The SEATS even have HEAD RESTS
The upgrade is legit 10 out of 10. This is now by far the best theatre venue in the State, and made for a magical experience. The layout is fantastic, seats are comfy and all have great views, as the sound and acoustics are incredible. If you see an event planned for here don’t hesitate you won’t regret going if only for the venue alone!
My photos don't do this place justice at all, but you are obviously not allowed to take pictures while the performance is on. The revamp of this place is great, seats are comfy, stage and symphony pit are world class. If you have the opportunity to see a show here. The acoustics are amazing
Wonderful venue for Paul Kelly and Paul Grabowski concert. Great seats with perfect view of the stage. We were close to a large speaker but the volume of the sound was fabulous. The seats are very comfortable and well positioned. Fantastic experience
Went to watched the SIX last week. The show is amazing and really inspired by the actresses’ energy and enthusiasm, but that’s for the show. That was only my first time watching any show in an actual theatre but I am not sure I like the crowded seating. I know I am not getting the best seating because they are expensive. But I don’t like to keep letting late coming people in the whole time. Also with the kids seating behind me kicking my seat and making noise eating chips every once for a while.
The extensive refurbishment has really enhanced the appeal of this iconic theatre! Hardly an empty seat for a Sunday matinee of Eireborne - rescheduled after cancellation last year due to covid! I was particularly impressed by what appeared to be air circulation vents under each seat .. certainly couldn't detect the usual "stuffiness" one associates with crowded indoor venues. The new red velvet curtain looked impressive! However, it rose a little late and came down a little later than scheduled! The show was amazing ... one wondered how the cast could repeat the energy packed performance after only 3 hrs rest .. I'll have what they're having! Staff were polite and helpful expediting seamless transition on entry to the designated seating. So pleased Her Majesty's Theatre has received a life extending facelift!
Love the renovations. Wood details are all very nice. The bar and foyer is sensational. Seats are comfortable and staff are helpful.
Lovely theatre, looks like it's recently been refurbished. Seen the Musical Cruel Intentions. So seating was well set out but a little small. They have a bar, toilets & can book & pick up tickets at the booth. Very clean, staff very friendly
Saw David Strassman there, fantastic show, he is hilarious live, cheeks hurt from laughing. How beautiful Her Majesty's Theatre is since they renovated it. Great job, seats were comfortable and the all over feel of the place was great. I hope to see a few more shows there in the future.
The theater is beautiful and has food/drink bars on both levels. I recently went to see Paul Kelly live wich was great, there were some hecklers wich should have been escorted out but unfortunately we're not. One major problem is the fact they allow drinks including alchol into the theater wich wouldn't be an issue if there were cup holders. As people were leaving the theater I walked passed many spilt beers that people had left on the ground. Because Her Majestys is located near the central markets there are plenty of places to eat near by. Overall it was an ok experience but I feel like a lot could be done to improve it.
