We were a little early for the distillery tour and had enough time to catch lunch. So we had lunch there which was really good. We had the mixed meat platter which was superb. So 5 stars for The food The distillery tour gets 3 starts. .. and here's why We were promised a tasting and were given just one whiskey to taste. If we wanted to taste some of the others, they were paid tastings. Also i found that the tour was very short and wasn't made interesting.

It was my first visit to a whisky. We missed the whisky tour since we were late but satisfied ourselves with some whisky tasting session. They have a wide variety of products other than whisky like chocolates, cream, fudge, jam etc with whisky flavour and a nice Cafe. Wonderful experience.

Sunday lunch @ Hellyers Road Distillery. Amazing! Great menu. Decided on the taste platter for 2. Everything was delicious & great value. Great setting & atmosphere, great staff & service. We will be back soon. Burnie is lucky to have such a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommend!

Amazing place. Great in depth whiskey tour with Mike who knew what he was talking about and was actually passionate about his job! Fantastic whiskey, I must recommend the 10yr old peated. Huge cafe and visitors centre a real gem for the north west coast of Tasmania.

We were recommended this cafe for lunch. Initial impressions were not great. We were shown to our table and left with menus. No pleasantries, no advice on specials, no drink orders taken. The menu looked impressive. Although the venue was not overly busy we waited more than 5 minutes before waitstaff returned to take our order. We selected the Tasting Plate for two, plus a paddle/flight of whiskey nips. The tasting plate was delivered in a reasonable time. It was generous in portions and a real winner. We departed happy customers. Excellent food and whiskey, reasonably priced, just need to improve the customer experience.
