My kids sent me a voucher for a trial lesson for Fathers Day. What a thoughtful present, a lot different from the usual. I then bought a voucher for my son Eddy as a Christmas present so he came along as well to do the lesson after me.

I had never been up in a helicopter before so I went with feelings of both excitement and apprehension.

When we arrived we were made to feel welcome. I went into the study room with Paul the pilot for thirty minutes to cover the theory, controls etc. We then flew the helicopter for thirty minutes with me in the pilot seat using dual controls. I did not realise before just how "hands on" it would be. It was a thrilling experience. 

I always wondered what would happen if the single engine in a helicopter failed… It turns out it's no problem if there's no power, you can easily land it gently. Whew! good to know.

Had my first ever experience holding the controls of Robinson R22 Betta II.. Paul made me feel very comfortable and eased my fear of the unknown. very experienced pilot and great customer service. 
Found best to communicate by emails.. Loved it and will do it again.
