STYLISTS
Jo

Jo's experience as salon owner, educator, stylist & colourist has spanned over 30 years. Starting her trade in 1978 in Alice Springs, while Joanne is highly respected within the hairdressing industry she still strives to keep up to date with new trends, products and education.
Jo has worked backstage on numerous fashion shows, provided hair for the TV and movie industry, participated and won many hairdressing competitions. Worked on hair shows for the Australian hairdressing industry and provided period hair for stage and theatre. Jo has been a finalist in the Telstra business women’s awards & regularly raises money for charity.
Jo is happy to share her wealth of knowledge and experience with others in the industry and clients. She strives to put back in the enthusiasm and professionalism into her craft, which she loves.
Most of all she strives to create hairstyles that suit the client not just the fashion that you can recreate at home and provide everyone with healthy beautiful hair that others admire

Emma

Emma is a senior stylist, starting at Headlines in 2001 as a Salon assistant. Emma has worked her way thru all stages and aspects of Hairdressing. Specialising in Up-styling, colour correction, Dreadlocks and Hair Extensions.
Emma has always been highly involved with fashion shows and photo shoots with the Salon and volunteers with Look Good... Feel better and Shave for Cure programme and other Charities.
Emma now works 3 days a week as she shares her Hairdressing career with being a Mum.

Donna

‘The art of hairdressing is more and more brilliant as the years go on, and I’ve been hairdressing for many of those years'
Originally from New South Wales, Donna covers all aspects of hairdressing from stylish cuts to beautiful blondes.

Matty

Matty started hairdressing in 1999, he gained experience in one of Germanys top Salons BAJAC Hair & Beauty.Matty is extremely creative, specialising in Style Cutting and Colour Techniques, and has a passion for stage work and photo shoots, as well as being an incredable Make-up Artist
Matty is now fulfilling his dreams by living and working in Australia.

Jake

Jake started hairdressing in 2009 at Headlines in Alice Springs, and completed his Apprenticeship in 2012 in Hervey Bay.
He has completed multipule L'Oreal colour courses, making colour and following the latest trends his passion.
His dedication has resulted in invitations to work at Australian Fashion Week in 2013 and 2014.

Kristen

Kristen started out in 2006 at Headlines in Alice Springs. Her love of Colouring & Colour Correction has led her to attend a number of L'Oreal colour courses including: Sarter Keys, Colour Keys, Touch Colour, Colour Change & Lightening Discovery. Kristen is fully trained in Dreadlocks and Extensions and their maintenance.

Lauren

After being our excellent helping hand over the past two years as A School Based Apprentice, Lauren has now progressed to a Full Time Apprentice. Lauren is a fast learner and is certainly one staff member to keep an eye on.

Sarah- Beauty Therapist

Sarah is our Beauty Therapist and Make-up artist here at Headlines. With a passion for everything Beauty & 7 years experience in the industry Sarah has the ability to fulfill all your treatment requirements. From waxing to luxurious facials and body treatments, Sarah has you covered to indulge your mind, body & well being.

Shaz- Creative Nail Technician

Shaz is our creative nail technician with 20 years experience. Acrylic nails are used to artificially enhance the appearance of natural fingernails. Acrylic nails help conceal or fix broken, damaged, short, or bad nails. It also helps prevent people from biting their nails, breakage of nails, and protect splits. They are used when people are not able to grow the length and strength of natural nails that they desire.

Janis- Make-up Artiste

Certified International Make-up Artiste. Janis has 17 years experience working for Department Stores and their Make-up promotions with Y.S.L & Clinique.
Specializing in - WEDDINGS - FORMALS - SPECIAL MAKE-UP UPDATES - STAGE - T.V - ONE TO ONE MAKE-UP TECHNIQUES.
Now specialising in Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics here at Headlines.
