Hawker College offers a dynamic, inspiring and nurturing learning community dedicated to supporting students to achieve their individual potential.

Story

Hawker is a co-educational senior college, catering for Years 11 and 12 and attractively sited in hillside grassland in the residential suburb of Hawker. The school is easily accessible by public transport from all feeder suburbs. The college opened in 1976 and has a long tradition in scholarship, student welfare, cultural and sporting facilities and strong community involvement. Responding to changing educational/training needs is a priority.

i felt like i was at the beach but it never ended and not the good beach like the bit after the beach where you’re at that weird shower thing next to the public toilet.
Hawker College welcomes you as more than a community but a family of students and teachers. We care and guide each other in our studies so that no one is left behind. Everyone I've meet so far is so creative, artistic and encouraging, which by having them around and thinking of me makes me happy and motivated to inspire others. Of course, when it's not always a bright day outside or in our thoughts, we have our lovely chaplain Cheers to Mandy, counselor and teachers who are always readily aware and willing to support. They also make sure to ask how they are helping our cohort feel included :. Finally, the best part yet is our Pancake Mornings, every Friday and the food catering when we host or organise our own events. Especially, our open night and the magical Hawkwards which just went by. Personally I love Hawker College because I knew better and for sure that they were the school for me. Which is not something that I felt was as important for me during highschool, though right now, I can say that I'm confident in the Hawker Family and the things that we have succeeded in and been a part of. So for anyone who may come across this totally unbias blabble, Why not Hawker College? Why not be a part of all the brilliant madness that Hawker has to bring? and where there's always more to come.
A school where my worst fear came true. Do not send your kids to Hawker College. I was yelled at and pushed up against a wall by a fellow male student. Hawker college only gave this student a 'slap on the wrist' and no support to me at the time. Violence against women or anyone in society is unacceptable but at Hawker College it's a ok. I repeat do not send your kids to this school.
A couple years back I graduated here and got an atar over 85. Didn't know you needed an 85 atar to be a janitor. Thanks heaps Tobias Hartley
I think the number been changed and every time I call this man answers as Jim’s mowing but is clearly no older then 12 so I reckon something is sus
Working here and I love the great vibe the place has. Busy hum and friendly faces all around.
For real though, this is a good school except one of the drama teachers, they were kinda sus ngl
I snuck in to take someone else's ID photo and they were having technical difficulties so I couldn't.
The bathroom sinks are leg operated.
Best College in the ACT.
