I get Haveli regularly. It is so so so good - so authentic. The staff are excellent and very friendly, extremely well mannered and presented. Their delivery is fantastic and always on time. I would highly recommend this for any lovers of good Indian food. The restaurant is also always spotless and has a great ambiance.
Had dinner on weekend night. The food is to die for! Mouthwatering, Freshly prepared and cooked, leaving you wanting more and more! special credit to fish tikka and vindaloo flavours are intense and full on. The menu is extensive as well as the cocktail and wine list. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The service was perfect - not too in your face but around when you need them. Certainly will be going there again soon! This has taken over as our favourite Indian restaurant.
Was pretty disgusted. My family and I have been loyal customers to this place every since it opened. I ordered a samosa chat for take away earlier this year, and mum and I sat waiting on chairs where I could see behind the counter. That day we discovered the truth of this restaurant. There was a bucket with all the cutlery dumped inside under the counter and the young lady working the counter would hand out the cutlery with the meals with her bare hands, whilst dealing with money. Not only that, she dropped a few cutlery and picked it up with her. bare. hands. Why. Not only that, I went home to eat my samosa chat and found a staple. How the heck did a staple get into my food?
Worst dining experience ever in Adelaide. I,d start with service, waitress was not sure about items on their menu, had no clue about ingredients. She was acting as if she doesn’t belong there. Now comes the food, we ordered pappadum platter which was way too salty and far different from what waitress told, How it would be. Breads were cold & were served before curries which made them worse. Tawa roasted mix vegetables, we ordered were not actually tawa roasted and was so worst to see that nobody even taste it. So, we asked them to put it in takeaway. To which, their reply was that they’ll bring the container & we can put it in on our own. To which, they agreed when insisted. All in all, lack of professionalism from staff, bad quality & tasteless food. I wouldn’t have regretted more, Had I dropped 100 dollar bill on a road.
One of the worst Indian food with pathetic customer service.. Not recommended to anyone. We ordered dal makhni , Kashmiri malai kofta with garlic naans and steamed rice. Dal and malai kofta were tasteless . I think chef has to stop cooking and learn some culinary skills.. Even the amateur cook can serve better food than him .. Moreover, customer service , especially the waitress who served us , she had some kind of idiotic attitude . Morale of the story.. Never go to this restaurant .however, the owner of this place need to be taken some steps to improve the cooking skills and customer services
Wife had a lamb rogan josh as part of the lunch special which seemed like very good value, however she pointed out that there was only two pieces of meat in the curry and one of them was half fatty tissue which had to be cut off. The curry itself was tasty but as she said it is a bit pricey for just "a curry sauce and rice." We may give them the benefit of the doubt and try there again one day.
Update. Have tried going a few times after the shop changed hands. and understandably the taste and style have changed; The masala chai was good though. ---------------------------------------------------------------- First couple of times we went after it just opened, we were a little disappointed, but they have lifted their game : The Thursday/ Friday $7.95 lunch special is awesome; but get in early. If there are a few people in there it can take a while as they make each curry to order. Food on the take away menu is reasonably priced and curries were good, Prawn curry, samosa chat, saag paneer and butter chicken.
Ordered Veg Pakoras, Onion Bhajis and Paneer Tikka Masala for takeaway Veg Pakoras - undercooked batter, overcooked vegetables and no visual appeal, looked like leftover hashbrowns Onion Bhajis - should be renamed salt bhajis Paneer Tikka Masala - ordered to be made hot, no spice, no heat, no salt but plenty of colour. overall, the dishes summed up that the business does not care about impressing their customers and retaining business. In the end, we were not satisfied paying what we did for the food.
We ordered papdi chaat, non veg platter and chicken mumtaz. Papdi chaat was good. Platter - chicken was very dry and was missing marination from iniside and not cooked properly. Seekh kebab- No taste uncooked and was hard that table knife is not enough to cut it into piece. Fish tikka was okay. Mains were okay. Not worth going again. Reviews were passed on to the staff.
Very cozy and homely eatery with friendly staff and tasty food. With the recent sprucing up of the decor and looks, Haveli offers a very refreshing experience. Food is not too expensive, serve sizes are decent, and the taste is authentic Indian.
