Harvest Market Launceston is a real treat for anyone wanting a taste of Tasmania. Every Saturday, the city comes alive with friendly farmers selling their fresh produce. Stalls overflow with colorful fruits and veggies, perfect for a healthy snack or home cooked meal. Need a cheesy pick-me-up? Grab a loaded cheese sandwich piled high with local goodness. Feeling a bit peckish? Treat yourself to fluffy pancakes dripping with maple syrup. Wash it all down with a refreshing drink, supporting local brewers and producers. The atmosphere is buzzing with locals and visitors alike, chatting with the stallholders and soaking up the real Tasmanian vibe. It's a great way to stock your fridge, support local farmers, and experience a taste of Launceston!
A great little market to spend a few hours on a Saturday morning whilst you are on holidays or just a local. There is a good selection of locally grown produce that are just so fresh, and the smell of the fresh herbs is just divine. And there's a good selection of bakery and breakfast items if you're feeling hungry as well. Highly recommend coming here if you happen to be around Launceston on a Saturday morning.
I was lucky to be in the hotel right across the road from the markets.nThere were vegetable stalls, fabulous coffee and yummy decadent delicious food, and local musicians for entertainment. I saw mushrooms that I had never seen before.nI have attached photos.
Harvest Market is an amazing Saturday market and a must visit when in Launceston. There was a great selection of breakfast options, international street foods and fresh produce stores. Everyone was super friendly and having a relaxing time. There was also a local band playing as well creating sweetening the atmostphere even further. Plenty of seating to enjoy your food from.nnHighlights for me included:n- The Bratwurst roll and Truffle beef sausage roll from unamed store - both sausages were bursting with flavour and matched the cold Launceston winter perfectly!! Particularly loved teh mushroomn-Provenance Coffee Co. The coffee was indeed very smooth and aromatic.n-The Tasmanian Juice Press. Super delicious fresh juice served in large glass containers. There appears to be a trade system whereby you could bring back your old bottles for a discount on juice. If I was local I would be here very often!!
