Didn’t go down the trail but the view of the falls was nice. The water is a bit green and sludgy aka slippery, but it’s not like I wanted to walk across so it was no real issue for me it was for the guy that ended up crawling back to the bank after walking to the middle. Ended up kayaking at the bottom of the falls which was super nice! Would recommend going over to the hotel place to hire a kayak, $15 per kayak :
Close to the highway, parking available, a short stroll via simple walkway to the waterfall. Toilets available, did not check them out hence could not comment about cleanliness. Got very close to the fall which was super pleasant experience.
Beautiful waterfall. Right off the road, carpark is right next to the path. The path is literally less than a 30 second walk to the waterfall. Worth the short detour to look at. If you look carefully around the bushes you will see six roosters who like to call this area home as well.
Nice fall and easy 3km drive from Paihia / Waitangi. Didn't like that the water was green / dirty though. Lots of parking and public toilets near. Few local chickens keeping watch. Probably about 8 other people there when we were on a relatively nice Saturday afternoon.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
A great place to see a waterfall up close. Just a minute from the carpark. You can stand right beside the waterfall for photo. There are massive fishes at the bottom too.
Its a beautiful fall close to Paihia. We went on the rainy day and fall was big. Its a very short walk and there is parking and rest room available on site.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful stop to marvel at the waterfall that contains rich NZ history surrounding its origins. The rivine itself needs a bit of attending though, as it looks to have a slight bit of sewage overflow causing foam build up. The ledge leading down to the rocks could do with a bit of attending, the loose gravel at an angle can cause a slip when walking down, not major, but still unpleasant - saw two slips whilst there. Overall a nice quick stop in Haruru.
Nice waterfall, short walk down to the falls from the parking lot. Nice clean large bathroom in parking lot as well.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great scenic detour point on the way to Paihia from Auckland. To reach waterfall there is a small trek and you are there. One can spend quality time here while listening to sweet waterfall and small lake.
Omg what a wonderful place is this, you can see the falls too close to you very nice.
