Very friendly staff and the food is delicious. Located near all other restaurants and pubs in town so perfect to grab a beer afterwards. The kimchi is so fresh and the black bean noodles is delicious. Make sure not to wear white shirt as it will splash no matter what you do!! Easy to wash off though Their menu offers a variety of dishes covering most of the main Staples of the Chinese and Korean cuisine. Tables are separated with curtains for privacy and the restaurant is air conditioned. When I asked for the bill she required that I go the cashier and pay.
We waited over half an hour for the food and they came out frozen!!! Can literally see icy octopus in the hotpot. Of course they turn out hard, dry and tasteless. The hot pot is salty even though we turned off the stove really early. The extra noodle on side looked like it's been cooked before and they just heated up... Staff doesn't know about food on the menu. While we were waiting for food didn't even bring drinks out first. After waiting for so longgg we had to ask for our drinks. It's during the week the restaurant WAS NOT BUSY AT ALL!! Not recommended. Won't be back
First time eating here, service was fantastic and above what was expected. The food full of flavours I had never experienced before. The meals larger then competitors.
AMAZING FOOD! We had bulgogi octopus hot pot and it was so comforting and tasty. Felt like home. And huge portion as well. Highly recommended.
The Kangpung is delicious, it starts off deceptively mild with a hint of sweetness but then the heat sneaks up on you.

First time dining here for lunch. Interesting menu and good flavours. Totally enjoyed our meal. This place could turn out to be one of those hidden gems in Cairns. Looking forward to trying other dishes here.
Was happy to see Japchae rice, a traditional Korean stir fry glass noodle combination with rice, from menu However, it comes up really greasy and diluted flavoured one. Also, I order spicy seafood soup noodle, whereas it turns up as like Korean instant noodle, , and seafood tastes really not that fresh, shrunken, chewy and flavorless like chewing rubber. I spent $33 bucks to purchase two meals here which I can cook more better by myself at home. Waste money and good mood after gym.

Been there once and ordered pork pot, Pretty much just pork and cabbage...good portion but a little bit plain and not very tasty, may try other food there later, the noodles on the pics look good.
