Had an Xmas work function there recently with a set menu, the table set up was really nice and definitely better than the internal decor. Food was better than expected and the service was great. I have been here before for a lunch and that was pretty decent too from memory. One thing which almost lost a star - no one asked how we liked the steak done. For me it was medium and I prefer medium rare, but it was excellent for medium so I left it five stars.
Views were amazing as seaside dining mostly is. Customer service was a lot to be desired! A group of 5 of us they stuffed one of the orders and left my mate waiting until we all finished our meals before his came out with no apology from the wait staff. The manager was apologetic and gave us a free round how ever I get the feeling customer focus isn't their strong point. Meals are very overpriced for what you receive two hours after we had to find something out to eat.
The food was outstanding for a pub restaurant. It was reasonably priced , tasty and well presented. We came on a calm warm Winter's day by boat. Very busy jetty but managed to get a spot. We reserved a table for 10 outside. Great decision as they had a 2 piece band playing covers from the 70s 80s and 90s.Food: 5/5
Our initial visit to Harrigan’s began in confusion. The girls at the entry had no idea what we meant by accompanying support of the vocalist/entertainer. We ended up at a table for four when there was ready a table booked for 10. Nevertheless, the place itself is a great landmark with picturesque water views and bustling weekend atmosphere. The food was good, presented quite well on plates and our drinks were at the right temperatures. Overall, staff were friendly and service wasn’t slow. There’s a boat ramp available for boaters. Also, It has a good patch of grass big enough for a helipad / landing area. Could comfortably land an R22 or R44 safely. This would create an invitation to new clientele and a bit of excitement for seated customers. Maybe something the owner might want to consider. After all, it’s in a lovely spot.
Enjoyed our lunch there yesterday 09/09/21. We ordered the Creamy Garlic Prawns, Salt & Pepper Calami and Sirloin Steak with chips, salad and pepper sauce. The entrées, salad and chips were surprisingly good and well presented. For the price, it's good value, but if you're a rare steak eater, I would recommend ordering blue, as ours were both medium rare. It was a very tasty steak all the same.
My fiance and I came to celebrate our anniversary. This is our second time coming. I was hoping to get the salad I had the first time we came. However, felt a little disappointed as I didn't get the same salad I got last time. Not only it didn't look the same but was also missing avocado and there was less chicken as well.
Nothing spectacular here. Being Fathers Day I expected it to be busier. There was no staff on entry to guide us to our table so we had to wonder around looking for our family. Not knowing there was a marquee outside it took us 10 mins to find our table. The marquee had a fridge with drinks to purchase but that was locked and there was no attending staff. The majority of tables were empty but they were riddled with dirty dishes and there was food scraps and rubbish all over the floor. Being an extremely windy day I believe that some of the paper rubbish and mentos wrappers would make its way into the canal! The marquee felt claustrophobic so I recommend consideration of changing the canal side of the marquee lining to a clear lining so customers can look out enjoy the view of the water. Our lunch arrived quickly after ordering but had to wait for staff to return with cutlery. Meals were average. I ordered meatlovers pizza but very little meat was in the topping of the pizza as it was mostly dough bread base and my husband disliked the very crunchy vegetables with his chicken schnitzel.
It was OK, wouldn’t return though. The environment is nice, had live music. Had to wait a while to get drinks. I ordered chicken parmigiana and it was really dry/overcooked, the cheese and sauce was very weird, did not taste like a typical parmigiana and was very disappointing overall. The chips weren't fresh at all and had no seasoning and the gravy was really gross too
Some of the best pub food I have had if not the best. Lovely place with outside seating with a view of kangaroo Island and others. Also the marine is just around the corner. Staff were lovely and very helpful for a Xmas feast. I'll definitely be there maybe for Friday afternoon drinks or more suppers. Ablution facilities with grass areas. Very nice venue.
Really busy place. Took nearly two hours for the food but really enjoyed it. Great band, relaxing atmosphereFood: 5/5
