Every time we come to Yeppoon we go to Happy Sun. Never disappointed, food has always been amazing and the service is great. Well priced Asian restaurant that is definitely recommended, we’ll be back.
The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever we get takeaway. A wide selection of dishes to cater for all tastes. Our favourite is takeaway containers from the smorgasbord.Food: 4/5
Not happy at all. I went there for dinner in the buffet. Very few food choices and no top up at all. No choice in sweet dish.Only few icecreams. There were bugs in the food. When I complained with the owner, he wasn't willing to accept it. I found 2 small bugs, heavily soaked in oil, in the food. Owner didn't accept that the bugs were in the food. I couldn't eat after that. Not recommended at all. Check your food before you eat here, not worth it.
Lovely dining experience! We ate here 12 months ago on holidays in the buffet section and it was casual & plentiful. This time we decided to dine in. Being a Sunday night off peak, I didn’t bother to book - big mistake! We were offered the last table. Food was beautiful and even better than I remember. Staff were lovely even though they were rushed off their feet but we didn’t have to wait long at all. I felt like this was traditional old school Chinese that I used to go to with mum & dad when I was kid. Simple but full of flavour. If I were a local, this would be a regular for our family!
Visited this restaurant last night expecting a lovely dine-in experience. The meal arrived and sadly was inedible. I tried to send it back but was told by the owner that there was nothing wrong with it. When I realised there would be no replacement meal I informed him that I was unwilling to pay for it. His response “ don’t come back again”. I can assure you that I did not need that advice. Disrespectful and unprofessional. Terrible experience!!
Banquet very nice and fresh. Have read comments about staff being rude... I think efficient is more the word... no nonsense. Could see kitchen from where we were sitting, looked spotless. Would definitely eat here again.
San chow bow very disappointing. Two pieces of lettuce circles fitted neatly into container. Would not get extra lettuce. Fried rice large was cooked rice 6 green peas minuscule pieces of ham/bacon and egg $11.80 Honey chicken was pieces of chicken about the size of the top of your finger covered in a stodgy batter and about quarter inch of sauce on the bottle of the container. Chicken was in clumps. The beef with chilli and ginger was tasteless except for the thick taste of a thickener which wasn’t cooked out. Young drive thru guy was rude. We picked and ate what we could down at the beachside and threw the rest out. Really disappointed. Thank goodness for a beautiful sunset Parking: Good drive thru idea but annoying if order isn’t ready. You just have to go park somewhere and come back
Always good Chinese! Singapore noodles are a bit hit and miss, but more often good. Love the sweet n sour pork and special fried rice!! Kid-friendliness: I've never had any issues taking my kids in to get the buffet takeaway option. It's nice that they can dish up their own containers without getting told off, which we've experienced at other places.
Worst service! I asked if they have noodles and if I can mix it with chicken - the guy told me yes they can. After that, I ordered vegetarian noodles with chicken but got the normal chicken with rice. After I complained about that, one unfriendly girl asked me to leave because they „don‘t mix food“.
They have had issues with getting resteraunt staff like everyone....its the best Chinese in the country....and I have tried everywhere from Adelaide to Sydney and Charters Towers...pre book Pecking Duck. ....just do it...Food: 5/5
