Story

Hanuman Darwin first opened its doors in 1992. Originally located at the Bennet Street end of Mitchell Street, the restaurant moved to its current location in late 2007.

We are delighted with the new space. As part of the Holiday Inn Esplanade complex, the restaurant incorporates a beautiful deck dining area and stylish cocktail bar.

With seating for 90 people outside and a further 90 inside, be prepared to immerse yourself in a truly exotic experience. The furnishings, tableware and artworks have been sourced from around the world and the lighting will take your breath away.

Jimmy Shu's Hanuman is a must visit. This place oozes quality from the service to the food and wine selection. An extensive menu that has been well considered with flavours from all parts of Asia. The portion sizes are generous to a fault and fortunately we were able to take the leftovers home. An overall excellent experience.
The atmosphere was good, the food was good, the service was average. Very busy, that could have contributed. We prefer the one in Alice Springs. The menu in Darwin used to be different to that of Alice Springs with a fantastic lobster dish. This is not on the menu anymore. highly recommend
Excellent food and service as usual! Very busy night but we did not have to wait long. Very nice evening.
To die for oyster entree, best flavour I’ve ever had. Always a fan of the whole crispy sweet n sour cooked fish. Mouthwatering. A place you can return to over and over and always be satisfied.
Not too bad...some very tasty dishes. I did enjoy the garlic naan, trumpet mushrooms, stay skewers and jack fruit curry. My wifes korma was a bit bland and the meat was not consistent in tenderness
