I walked there with my friends from Woodend station (don't recommend it), and it was well worth it. It is so wonderful and beautiful to see these natural wonders in person, and I highly recommend it. Thank god for such beauty I do have to warn however that it costs about $20 entry free for cars and the cafe is exuberantly priced. So bring your own food and you'll be satisfied with your visit 😁

Nice peaceful place. Large green areas for family picnic. Separate barbecue area. Reaching out to hills require good walk and good energy. But it's all worth it. Not suitable for people requiring accessibility aides.

We've been going to Hanging Rock for family reunions for nearly 60yrs, the only hick- up is they close the gates at 5-30pm. We still love going to HR and show our grand kids and great gks a wonderful day of fun and excitement. With the old caretakers they would leave the gate open so we could stay and have dinner and shut the gate when we left. We now go to the park in Woodend to finish the day. We do this every year, it used to be on the Labor Day weekend but now we do it on the last Saturday in Feb

Amazing views waits you at the top. Come before lunch as you have more chance to take pictures without too many people as your background. BYO drink, hats and proper shoes. When going down, I saw one or two families who brought baby prams, so no worries if you bring babies as the place itself provides friendly stops with a good view for such families. Please stick with the pathways once you get into the summit as it would give you much easier to walk.

Visted the place on Australia day. Its a good place to spend a day with family. A good picnic spot. Do barbecue, can do bush walking, play with kids. Bring your food and if you have kids, bring some toys and can also play cricket with the kids. On Australia day there was horse race and that made our day.
