Safe space for women and LGBTQ+ folk, my friends who are gay feel comfortable being here with their partners and the staff are so friendly. I love this place so much it's so lovely and warm. I took a pottery class and I love how unwinding it is just being here. Lots of love x
Absolutely wonderful and cannot recommend highly enough. Nichola is one of the nicest and most accommodating of human beings who goes above and beyond to help you and your work come into being. I had to get a whole bunch of small pieces together for an exhibition with a really tight turnaround and without Handmakers Factory it just wouldn’t have happened. Reasonable prices, quick responses, and wonderful care with handling and firing. Basically after experiencing this kind of support and service I won’t talk to anyone else about ceramics or take my work anywhere else to be fired from hereon in. Thank you
I had a fantastic time at the soap making workshop. Nichola is a calm, thoughtful and patient teacher whose relaxed approach put me at ease straight away and provided a welcoming space to learn and ask questions. Nichola was thorough with directions about the the hot soap making process, so much so, that I feel it’s something I could now do at home on my own. There are so many beautiful additions that are provided to add to your soap. You can add clay, flowers, spices, herbs, seeds, exfoliants, essential oils and natural colourants. The workshop was excellent value and I had a box of the soaps I made to take home, as well as some bath salt mixture which we were also able to make, and was a lovely surprise. Thank you so much Nichola; I’m looking forward to doing more workshops!
Excellent workshop with really interesting and active sessions. Just went to the screen print stencil session and learnt so much, had fun too. Nicola is very knowledgeable and gets you learning new skills quickly. Great to have such an amazing space with so many toys. thanks
