My kind of comfort food in uni days. They bring Japanese comfort food like fast food style. The prices are friendly and the foods are great! One of my all time fave is the Kay’s Chicken without veggies of course Another great dish is their curry, i love how there’s a few varieties that you can choose from. I usually ordered the Thigh Chicken Curry. Never a dull moment in Hanaichi!
We love the Ramen here, the taste.. authentic.. good tasting and fresh egg noodle and soup. Portions good. We had yakiniku beef and tempura prawns for toppings. Good value for money. Highly recommended.
We ordered the Japanese curry chicken karaage and beef udon. The Japanese curry was rich and tasty and the chicken was tender. The udon was nice and bouncy, however the beef was a little dry. Really affordable prices can get a meal between $9-15. Staff were kind and polite. Overall, pretty good!Food: 4/5
Gross. Firstly, I'd like to say I 'was' a fan of Hanaichi back in my university student days, it was affordable, cheap, quick and easy, and the taste was great! But now what happened?? Ever since they renovated their store, their food has become so mediocre, and the price getting quite expensive. I was in the city today, during my lunch break I thought I'd pop in and order my favourite kays chicken, to my disappointment it was so average, the rice was soggy, chicken was okay, vegetables we're sad looking and to top it all off there was a hair in my food!! I dont know what has happened but bring back the old owner/chef/whatever, where hanaichi is now is not a place I want to order from again.
Return purchase after long time. It is an affortable japanese meal. Mostly sell the japanese curries and snacks. The size is big, enough for 2 adults. The taste is also great. The shop is very clean and neat. Very recommended.
A great Japanese dining place in the city for cheap eats. Located in the QV centre on level 2, paid parking is available below. The menu includes Japanese curry on rice vegetarian or with meat, Yakiniku beef on rice, teriyaki chicken on rice, Katsudon, Udon Noodle soup, and a few other dishes. Service and food came out quickly freshly cooked.

With my fiancé we ate Sanuki udon tempura and Sanuki udon chicken and they were delicious ! Much better than one that we had in Singapore !! The place is quiet which is nice to enjoy a meal far from noisy places ! It is a perfect quality/price ratio! I really recommend this place !
I’ve been coming to Hanaichi for years and the Kay’s chicken is the only thing I eat. The fried chicken and Mayo go so well together. One of the classic fast japanese places to go to!
Conveniently located in QV. The food quality is all right. I added a photo that shows the three different sizes of bowls they have.Food: 4/5
