Definitely a restaurant worth going back. Food was really good and authentic. Unfortunately as there was only 3 of us, we couldn't order a lot. Would make a great place to go with a bigger group. Would have been able to order more : I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
We walked pass this new local Chinese restaurant a couple of times, and decided to try it out! We’re impressed with its comfortable decor as soon as we walked in. Billy and his crew were super hospitable. We ordered braised duck and taro, pork belly with salted fish claypot, homemade tofu, hakka stir fry dried shrimps, calamari and chive. All dishes are tasty especially the braised duck and homemade tofu, tender and flavorful. Hakka stir fry dried shrimps were surprisingly yummy. Portions are generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, will definitely come back!
A relatively new restaurant with quite a nice variety of Hakka flavours. Quality of food was not bad but one of the noodle dishes had a burnt taste and smell to it. The food took quite some time to come out and there was certainly room for improvement for their service.
We had a large gathering in their private room and tried a large range of dishes. Most of the dishes were delicious, and portions are generous. We particularly liked the herbal mushroom soup and very crispy sweet sour pork, trio of stuffed eggplant, capsicum and okra. The fish maw soup needs to be reserved in advance. For Hakka specials the pork belly with preserved vegs was rich and tasty. Next time we’d skip the free range steamed chicken which was on the tough side. Definitely happy with this new local Chinese!
So excited to have a delicious yum cha and good Chinese restaurant in the neighbourhood. Congee was delicate, har gau and siu mais steamed well and loved the marinated garlic cucumbers. Will be back to try the Hakka dishes!
