3.5 star It was above average but not the best. $33 lunch special which gets you 2 ramen, fried chicken, Gyoza and two drinks. The ramen seemed quite small and you can’t choose the noodle hardness, whether there is spring onions etc. I suppose being in the food court it’s like an “express” version of the real deal. The gyoza was good and the fried chicken was juicy and tender.
My favourite ramen shop. Flavoursome thick broth and delicious noodles with texture. You can choose the hardness of your noodles. Condiments add extra spice. The classic tonkotsu is great, as well as the black sesame. The last time I was there the bowl of ramen it was ready shortly after getting my buzzer. Felt almost instantaneous. Speedy delivery!
Decided to try this stall, since the quality of the parent store at Russell St was exceptional. While I was not expecting the same quality as that of Russell St since it's at a food court, I got "more than I bargained for". The noodle felt ok, pretty similar in comparison to the parent shop, but the soup base was not as tasty nor as thick. While eating halfway, something hard got stuck in my mouth, and when I ejected the "object" into a bowl, I saw a substantial piece of plastic! This was definitely not acceptable standard! There should be better quality control for such a popular ramen store!
How I’ve missed you dear Miso Tonkotsu Ramen... As usual really fast service came out in less than five minutes. This is the only ramen place left since Ramen Bankara closed, so very grateful the quality is good
Food court branch of the famous hakata. I must say it doesn’t live up to the standard of their hawthorn branch. There’s no option to customise your ramen. The karaage was also not as crispy as the ones at hawthorn
Absolutely delicious just as good stuffs city location which is my favourite ramen, this lives up to is name and in a good court, we were impressed. Meal for two was great value
I tried god-fire spicy level 1Taste of ramen broth was really good, no doubt about it. But the portion was so small especially for the meat pork slice which was only one thin slice for $13 ramen, where other places I went usually put 2 slices with thicker ones and not as pricy as this. This has to be improved otherwise it tasted great!
The ramen was yummy, I ordered the god fire ramen and my partner ordered the black tonkotsu ramen. Broth is very rich and the amount of noodle is just nice. It’s great value for money as well, $33 including 2 bowls of ramen, 2 drinks, gyoza and fried chicken. Highly recommended if you want something quick and yummy.
Best ramen in Melbourne. Food is always consistent at every store. My go to is the $33 deal that comes with 2 ramen, 2 drinks and 2 sides. Extremely worth it for the price. The only complaint I have is that I wish the size of the gyoza could be bigger. Otherwise, taste is fresh and one of the best I've tasted in Melbourne. Chicken karaage is well cooked and seasoned well with soy and ginger.
God Fire Ramen.4/5 stars! Tasty rich broth. Perfect soft boiled egg. Thicker slices of tonkotsu would have been better served than shaved pieces.
