Stepping into H&M at 350 Bourke Street is like walking into a beautiful blend of Melbourne’s past and present. Housed in the historic General Post Office GPO building, this flagship store offers more than just fashion—it provides an experience.nnThe GPO’s grand architecture, with its high ceilings and ornate details, creates a stunning backdrop for H&M’s modern collections. It’s impressive how the store maintains the building’s heritage charm while offering contemporary fashion.nnInside, the store is spacious and well-organized, spanning multiple levels. Whether you’re shopping for men’s, women’s, or children’s clothing, or exploring the H&M Home section, there’s something for everyone. The variety is extensive, and the layout makes browsing enjoyable.nnWhat stands out is how the store integrates into the city’s fabric. Located in the heart of the CBD, it’s easily accessible and surrounded by Melbourne’s vibrant energy. Even if you’re not shopping, it’s worth visiting to appreciate the architecture and atmosphere.nnIn summary, H&M Bourke Street isn’t just a retail store; it’s a part of Melbourne’s heritage. It successfully marries the elegance of the past with the dynamism of modern fashion, making it a must-visit destination in the CBD.
I recently visited the H&M flagship store in Melbourne, and it was by far my best H&M experience ever! I’ve been to H&M stores across many continents and countries, but this one truly stood out. The store was beautifully organized, spacious, and had an incredible range of collections. The overall shopping experience was top-notch - highly impresseddd!
I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding an unpleasant and inappropriate interaction I experienced at one of your stores.nnOn 23rd of June at 3:02 pm, , I was at the self-checkout counter till 0008, at your Elizabeth Street Melbourne store, folding a jacket I had just purchased. Without any courtesy or verification, a staff member dark hair approx 155-160cm tall, slightly wavy hair approached me abruptly and questioned whether I had paid for the item. The tone and manner in which this was done were extremely rude and accusatory, making me feel publicly embarrassed and unjustly suspected of theft.nnI found this behavior unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with basic decency and not to be made to feel like a criminal. When I replied that I had indeed paid and would never steal, there was no apology—only more coldness.nnI am appalled by the lack of professionalism and sensitivity shown by this staff member. I hope this issue is taken seriously and addressed through appropriate staff training on customer interaction and store protocol.nnI respectfully request that you look into this matter and inform me of any actions taken. I believe all customers deserve to shop in a welcoming and respectful environment.nnThank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. My receipt number is 9252
What a great use for this beautiful old building. They have done a great job with design & layout. Keeping some of the original architecture intact & on show, brilliant. Well done H&M
The male staff with multicolored hair, wearing a white tanktop, standing in front of the fitting rooms, was rude and seemed unwilling to provide service. After I tried on jeans, he told me I could place them on the counter, but I wasn’t sure where exactly to put them. He then quickly took the jeans from my hand in a rushed manner, as if he was annoyed, and in the process, he scratched me, leaving a red mark like this...nnAlways being a fan of H&M but this thing made me feel so bad...nn2 April 2025
