We were there at 4pm on a Friday … the atmosphere was great, the view wonderful, the service fantastic from friendly staff, and our meal was delicious! After a week of hard grind, this was so welcome. Thank you all for this lovely place to eat.
The food and staff were amazing, and they were very happy to help wherever they could. We fully recommend this place if you want a good feed. I took my nephew who is a big eater and he was full after it.
We doubled our seating needs, the booking of 6 increased to 12 last night and Michael and the team ensured our family was able to sit and eat together - thank you everyone. The portion of the meal serves were very generous and the staff provided friendly service.
Dined here at the Gympie Sports Club once again. Our meals came out in a very timely manner and were really delicious. We both had the chef selection of grilled barra and salad, our daughter had the pork belly salad. Compliments to the chefs. Service was prompt and friendly. We will definitely be back again.
Very disappointed in the meal. My husband and I we’re both travelling to cairns when we stopped for our lunch. Both ordered the steak rare and mine was rare and his was well done. The chips were cold as well. We didn’t complain till after our meal and staff said he could have replaced them if we said something earlier. As we were travelling and hungry we just put up with the food. I’m sorry I didn’t complain earlier as the meal was over priced for what we received. The staff did say to come back and give them another go but I’m afraid I won’t be back. I’ll certainly go to the RSL If I’m back in Gympie. Your food should be exactly how it’s ordered and served hot.
Look it's not fine dining, but I liked my Chicken salad. I liked the parking lot setup and I liked the table we got. The prices seemed reasonable and the food generous. In fact I got a LOT of chicken in my salad. Very long queue for the register but friendly when we got to the front. May I suggest marking the floor with tape or something, so the queue doesn't block the staff rushing in and out of the kitchen with full plates? Servers were getting grumpy because people were in their way, but nobody knows a waiter is going to come flying out of that door every 10 seconds. The bathroom was also good.
Ordered chic wings & spring rolls for starters,spring rolls were half frozen so we sent them back,,we had only eaten 2 chic wings, then they brought the main out and dropped them on our serviettes with the bones on them! Didn't ask who was having what meal!! , then brought back the properly cooked spring rolls! no time to enjoy! felt pushed,ok food, but all done too quickly. Not a relaxing lunch.
Easily the worst steak I've ever had. Over an hour wait, medium steak was served cold and rare. The solution was to take the food away and replace it with a $5 voucher which was insulting at best. On a positive note the kids meals came out quickly.
Awesome food, had the veggie burger and was super impressed it was various veggies grilled, held amongst a soft bun. the hint of lemon grass took it to the next level. Also the bbq sauce they use for chips was wild. Need to find out the brand.
Long wait for order unfortunately sort of killed the experience. Food was good but a tad overpriced when a similar meal can be found cheaper around Gympie. It’s ok but not good or great. Staff are nice
